Firstly, I have to say that I do not know how long Fev has on his contract, but if I were him I would demand a trade at the end of the season. His talent as arguably the best full forward in the league is just rotting away at Carlton unfortunatley, and Fev seems the type of guy that would be unstoppable on a winning team.

All I can say is that we are lucky that player contracts and movement are so restricted in AFL. If this was any North American or European sport he would already have his bag packed.

I know that if I was Fev, I would have left last year.

He has the ability to go down as one of the best, he could win medals, play in premierships.

The cold hard fact is he won't do it in a Navy Blue jumper because the team we have is poo.

Fev is doing a heck of a job not cracking the sads this year and looking more comitted then ever, but I'll be amazed if he decides to continue to play in this current side.

I love Fev, i reckon he is the team and the moment and i am grateful we hung on to him. But at the moment he would not like to be around the joint, at a West Coast or a St Kilda he would kick 120 goals easy, because their midfielders have great delivery, the delivery to Fev today was bloody shokin and needs to improve or i think he will get outta there as quick as he can

I think your all underestimating Fev's strength of character. He had the chance to go last year and was committed to staying. He has said a number of times that he can see the talent coming through and things can change very quickly.

Just look at Nathan Brown leaving the Bulldogs at their lowest (intentions were to play in a more successful team). He goes to the Tigers and the Bulldogs start firing!

Campo is another who left to play in a more successful side. Essendon are on the bottom!

Stick with us Fev, the success will taste all the more sweeter!

why not trade fev to west coast??
they need a key foward

i would go for hurn for fev, his a ready made mid which probs wont be getting a game in the west coast mid

West Coast seem to have a few midfielders, surely they could spare one or two for Fev.

We were lucky enough to get Callum Chambers for nothing, what would stop us getting some more high quality mid's off them for nothing ;)

If WC don't win the flag this year they should really go after him, actually even if they do they should, like i think they should have at the end of last season. Could really be a win-win for both clubs as they are pretty young and could afford to give away draft picks that Carlton would love as well as an estabilished midfielder or two which they can afford to give up too, given their depth there.

Maybe there is a salary cap issue for WC though, but it's so obvious that they are crying out for a quality key forward that i'm amazed they didn't make a big play for Fev especially when it looked like his future was pretty uncertain at the end of last year. Like i said, win-win.

What are you on? Carlton would want alot more than just hurn, a player who was pick 13 or something for our full forward, you have to be joking, maybe hurn and kerr or cousins, but hurn alone, no way.

Re: Fevola Should Leave NOT he won't Leave

Fevola won;t go be like If Matthew Lloyed wanted out of Essendon
fevola will be a blue next few years he's not silly like Campo who wasted his time going to Essendon he'd be lucky if he ever make the finals which isn;t very likley going from a club whos struggling to another struggling club

Matthew Lloyd won a premiership at Essendon.

Re: Fevola Should Leave NOT he won't Leave

be lloyds only premiership though he'll be retired before they win the next one

Re: Fevola Should Leave NOT he won't Leave

JUST hurn for fev would be a terrible deal, hopefully the recruitment team of today never considers suchs things.

Has Chambers done much for you guys since coming over?
I was all for the Fevola trade last year with my trade being Fletch and pick #1 (which turned out to be Hurn) for Fev. Not enough from us or the right deal? Thoughts? :thumbsu:
