the late mail is ottens is out for at least 4 weeks
club does not expect him to be back before then

sources will not be disclosed, i will just provide you with the news

I've ____ing given up on trying to determine when he'll be back. Let's just say he's gone for the season and if he somehow comes back into the team then it's a bonus.

senior within the club, you can delete, but will not change the facts

club is very coy about this one, treating it as though it is a week to week proposition but it is not, remember the egan finals series propaganda, in the end he did not play but it was played out over a number of weeks

THE return of Brad Ottens is again on hold with the premiership ruckman still being troubled by a foot injury.

Ottens has been plagued by a plantar-fascia (tendon) problem and hasn't played a game this season.

Scans taken a fortnight ago were positive but each time he steps up his training the foot pulls up sore.

The club is not putting a timeline on Ottens' return with three weeks now believed to be the best-case scenario.

Linky thing

forgot to add in 7-10 days if there is not vast improvement, they will be operating, so then at least 7-10 weeks out

that is the mail

What is ur source for all this?

journalists don't reveal their sources

told you first gazza's bro wanted to come back, when the club was saying he was going os

the club is worried as to the exact injury ottens has, as he does not recover well, he is worse than king in recovery

Bomber has been saying they might just play him anyway even if he is only 80% right now. So I guess we will have to wait and see.

that has been ruled out, as they are questioning the exact nature of the injury now, and after the egan situation they are worried

If you're a journalist, I'm the queen of Spain.

Whatever else is going on with the Gump, wouldn't surprise me at all if he's right about Otto.

This situation has got no better over several weeks now - what possible reason is there to suspect that it's suddenly going to improve?

Really hope Otto comes right soon, but I'm taking the 1-2 weeks the same way I've taken it since round 2. Slim chance at best...

Big challenge for Blakey to rise to the occasion - he can ask for no better opportunity to prove his worth than carrying the number one job week in, week out.

In terms of getting the supporters a fair picture of what's going on here, Otto's injury status should not go under weeks, but the catch-all 'indefinite'. I don't think the club has any idea when he might play again...

Is there a surgical procedure associated with alleviating plantar fasciitis?
