something for the outside punter to see rivalry action at its best when the leader of this poll meets in the 2nd half of season 07 !

From a Diggers Rest point of view it's Riddell. Been some pretty fierce matches over the years. I know that's the game i look forward to every year.

Hopefully as soon as 2008 we might see the return of the Kilmore v Wallan RDFL Sunday showdowns.

yeah those games were the best to play in and i reckon if they were to return this debate could become a 2 horse race between sunbury/diggers and kilmore/wallan - also would be keen to see how the transfers from kilmore to walllan and vice versa would stand with both clubs in the same comp....

What about Romsey v Lancefield?

yeah i agree it would be interesting to see this happen, personally i would love to see the wallan/kilmore showdown as soon as next yr. These games have always been huge

not wrong - having not won a GF my fondest football memory to date is winning the last Kil v Wallan match in 2001 (under 18s) from 9 goals down in 3rd quarter to win by a goal - we couldnt make finals and wallan u/18s went onto win the flag but it was one hell of a game and a fitting finish to the rivalry in terms of that group of guys who had played against eachother mostly from u/10's

What about Romsey v Lancefield?

actually i do stand corrected - i think the kil v wallan and romsey v lance rivalry hard to seperate - mostly as they were always played on sundays and drew massive crowds

the eveness and crowd intensity between sunbury and woodend was a spectacle in 07, nice little rivalry taking place as you never know who will come out on top with these 2 when they meet, think they went 2 for 2 with each other including finals series :thumbsu:
