FIFA 08 Problem for PC

Bought Fifa 2008 for PC today, and went to play it before and has been lagging terribly. It feels like its playing in slow mo. I turned the graphics to low and it has made no improvement.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

your grahpics card seems to be in order, does this also happen while playing offline (against friend or computer?) if it does than its probaly the fact that you have Vista, Vista is known to have problem with games, if it only happens online it must be your interent

Tried updating the drivers for the GC?

Yeh, worth updating ur drivers, get the latest directx and nvidia drivers.

Also might perhaps be worth a try defragmenting the drive or the fifa game files, you can do that with defraggler. Might make a difference, then again, it could be somethin else alltogether.

Also check out that there are no DirectX files missing, ive had that problem a while back. Go to Start > Run > dxdiag - then select the DirectX Files tab, there will be a box at the bottom informing you if anything is missing.
