1) More goal celebrations.
2) Keep the hilarious dummy animations
3) Fifa 11 defending
4) More in depth Manager mode
5) Even with none of the above I'm still buying

Cannot wait for this, I really hope they keep head to head seasons as well, any word on that?

you do know you can set the defending in FIFA12 to FIFA11, just go to settings and select Legacy Defending instead of Tactical Defending.

Ummm yeah. That's why I would like FIFA 13 to automatically have FIFA 11 defending.

Has there been any info on changes to manager and be a pro modes?
Some slight new info on changes to Manager Mode.

Meanwhile, Career Mode’s also gone to the next level, with the chance to manage and play for club and country. Play as Robin van Persie and you too can give Arsenal the finger before netting silverware and a multi-million pound contract elsewhere, before firing the Netherlands to World Cup glory… maybe. Fancy something a little less predictable? Why not start life as a fresh-faced starlet of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, before being shipped out on loan to the altogether unglamorous Accrington Stanley, in the hope you can dispose Lionel Messi upon your return.

Transfer dealings have also been tweaked to mimic the market more closely, with form, contract length and morale all representing a player’s true market value. You can now also meet each bid for one of your players with a counter offer, naming the exact amount it’d cost for someone to snare your prized asset. Similarly, you can now add players into any deal, so be sure to keep a keen eye on the Manchester City reserve squad as they soon could be slotting straight into your starting XI.

Here is a great interview with questions answered from Fifa fans on career mode
http://www.ea.com/uk/football/news/fifa-13-career-mode-q-a-02

I love:
1) The option to manage international teams alongside your Club team
2) Improved transfers with player+cash deals able to be done, and ability to counter offer to clubs targeting your players.
3) Player growth rework...Squad/bench players (ie youth) will improve.

Overall, sounds like the Player growth and transfer options are finally getting a big overhaul...awesome for career mode players

Did today what I did last year with FIFA 12. Pre-ordered the ultimate/collectors edition from EB Games, cancel the preorder on the day of release, pricematch and then pick up the game :)
You sly fox Gibbsy :D

Will buy with the announcement of changing the AI.

Don't really care about the game controls tbh, nothing really wrong with it. But please add new features to manager mode and Be a Pro etc.

I'm reading a bit about people not bothering with the free gold packs and instead saving on the cost of the game by buying the regular version and than using what they would have spent on the special edition to grab some packs of their own from the store.

Is this really a better way to do it in terms of getting rarer players?

Hopefully what they're saying about fixing controls is true. They make it impossible to do anything players actually do in real life without having to practice the bloody skill for hours upon hours.

I think the main problem is the AI defends skill moves way to good with the new defending they introduced last season.

I don't think that's the problem. Once you nail a few tricks after hours of practice you can get around defenders with the right moves. I don't have the time to waste practicing moves for hours just to use a skill move once in a while.

Most people can't even perform tricks because of how difficult they make them.

The AI do everything too well. Especially passing, it's laser sharp, and unless you're two steps ahead of them (which is never easy), you're toast. That's why I lowered their settings to ****** levels, just so I can play an even match against them.

I'd like to see a full custom camera. I'm always at at least one major disadvantage with the current set up of angles. And I'd like to have more control over non-controllable teammates, so I can direct them more accurately into position, other than just tapping 'L1' to run ahead or "jockey".

That's the problem for me too, although I also think they're a fair wank half the time. I think too many put too much time into relying on trick moves over playing a proper gameplan and building their offence. KSIolajidebt is a fairly predominant user of this. He has about 2 forms of attacking the goal that are generally very obvious, but often relies on the trick moves to then get around most players.

I guess at the end of the day, it's just an incredibly unrealistic thing to rely on trick moves so much to get space and get around players half the time.

What do you mean by full custom? You have a fair amount of control with the camera as it is right now.

How much more do you or would you want?

Something similar to the 'orbit' camera in instant replay, is what I have in mind.
Actually, what would be really helpful, would be a HUD display of the analog sticks. They have this in the NHL games, in practice modes.

Here's a picture if you can't understand what I'm talking about:

Would be useful in the 'arena' for practicing skill moves (just like it's useful for practicing dekes in NHL), as well in-games, if you need a little help adjusting to manual passing.

Yeah, I'm not really talking about it as a way to rely on getting around players but it can be quite annoying having guns on your team that can blow away an average defender in real life with their moves and because you're not very skilled on the controller you can't really rely on that as a means to get past the player.

You see a fair amount of dribbling around the sides of the box and on the wings in real life as a means to beat a defender and I'd like it to be easier and more realistic for gamers.

For example Lucas Moura of Sao Paulo is almost useless in FIFA because of the difficulty of skill moves. In real life the man blows away defenders with his pace and excellent dribbling (e.g kicking it through legs, around legs, using foot tricks etc). In FIFA because I can really only do a few basic moves he is useless because it can be damn hard to get around players especially when playing the CPU.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

Notice the way he gets around defenders with his quickness and skills. I'm not asking for tricks galore, I'm simply asking for some realism. If I wanted tricks galore, I'd play FIFA Street. On both sides, CPU and User. I'd enjoy being blown away by a gun dribbler once in a while because these things happen in football.

It can get quite boring playing FIFA and constantly dealing with the same stuff each game. There's not a lot of difference. Most teams and players act the same way and you can easily shut down the other teams best player because dribbling skills mean nothing to the AI and to users that cannot master the sticks.

totally agree...I especially hate the way they can clear a ball blindly from deep defence and it always lands at the feet of their sole player forward that is surround by 3+ defenders. Bloody frustrating. Oh and long kicks from your goal keeper nearly always end up in a turnover and even when the opposition does a full press late in games. Oh, And they always win headers and despite a small forward going up against a tall backman

On skill moves I can preform alot in practice quite easily, but against the AI I find it damm hard, and it is especially frustrating when you try to practice with Messi type against the shittiest of defences only to see them cut off 99% of skill move attempts.

So I agree that the impact of Elite players is somewhat limited to what they should be, but on the other hand, if you get good at directly first touch flicks the Elite players are hugely damaging against AI.

But play against Human controlled players and skill moves are a different story and can be real effective as alot of players will press heaps and open themselves up to getting out of position and lack reactions to make the tackle...which is why guys like KSIolajidebt look so good I think.
