I'm not allowed to be annoyed at an issue that didn't exist in the last game. Small or big is not the point. It's unnecessary.

Or you don't realise that I was taking a dig at another poster on this thread who I play against regularly?

Gaps becoming bridged.

Not really. I get so sick of winning that I just play loose now. I'd prefer more of a challenge.

Why else would I continually slide tackle from behind?

You've been the red card queen for years now.

Decided to finish my second season with York City this afternoon, playing in npower League 1. I was mid-table all season and was struggling in defence, as a lot of my defenders were out with injuries. The board wanted me to bring in another defender worth about $2,000,000 which was a little bit difficult considering I quite literally had a transfer budget of $37. It was a nice little surprise when the board somehow had the moeny to purchase Nathan Ake from Chelsea for me. He's an absolute beast.

Everything then kicked into action and I started winning plenty of games in a row. It came down to the final four games and I was three points behind Coventry for a playoff spot. I looked at the fixture to see who I had to play and funnily enough, I was playing Coventry twice. I beat them once 4-0, but our goal difference was huge, so although I was tied on points, there was no way I was going to make up the difference.

We both won our next games and we played again in the final round. All I needed was a 1-0 win and I'd be in contention for promotion, get I somehow couldn't hit the back of the net. It took until the 75th minute for a goal to finally go in, and at that stage I wasn't going to take any risks. Brought on a few defenders, shut up shop, that was it.

I convincingly got through the semi-final with 3-2 and 2-0 victories and had the final game to play to make it up to the npower Championship. Can't think of who it was against, but it took a 118th-minute goal to win 3-2 and go up.

Don't know how I'll manage to get promotion in the npower Championship, but hey, we'll see.

Anyone played Be a Pro Career? Started mine at Perth Glory as a young Playmaker. Was given the armband immediately and led the side to a third placed finish. Just before the finals however, I dislocated my shoulder. Thought that was it as leaving my side alone against the Victory could only end in tears. It was 1-1 in that game when Van Den Brink scored a 88 minute winner to send us through to the Semi's against Brisbane Roar. I hadn't beaten Roar at all this year but I was back to play a part. Won 1-0 with myself scoring in the 85th minute.

Onto the final and who did I play? Western Sydney Wanderers, who finished 6th. I scored in the 6th minute and was coasting until the 67th minute, they equalised. Thwaite also had a red card so it was an uphill battle and they had momentum. Stoppage time was entered and I received the ball on the edge of the box and nuzzled my way in, scrapping a desperate shot underneath the keepers legs from the goal line to secure the A-League title for my home club. Finished with 7 goals and 5 assists.

I had achieved all I could in my first season, and had teams knocking on the door for my signature. Milan made an offer but being Juventino, I declined with ease. Queens Park Rangers made an offer and I snapped up the chance to play in the Premier League. Was given a debut start against Chelsea and scored a left footed screamer but they subbed me and we ended up losing 2-1 however we beat Manchester City the next game after Zamora scored a double off the bench in the 85th and 90th minutes.

Just had a good online game. Was playing as Man City against Real Madrid.Anyway the other player was using Ronaldo to basically do all his attacking and scored on his first attack with him. I scored from a headed corner at the 40th minute then my opponent then again from the kick off got it to Ronaldo who scored on the stroke of Half time to go up 2-1.
In the 65th minute I equalled with a headed corner and then went ahead with my 3rd goal again from a headed corner to end up winning the match.

Can't stop choking in h2h seasons.

Division 4
Attempt 1: 13/16 points
Attempt 2: 15/16 points
Attempt 3: 14/16 points
Attempt 4: 13/16 points

In these 4 seasons I've had a total of 7 games where I could've been promoted with a win and I lost em all.

I'm half way through my second season. Not really that into it this time around.

To those of you who have had problems with your Careers freezing, what screen did the freezes occur?

I am in February of my third season, first game after the transfer window closes (had a FA Cup game scheduled for this day but got to play it so that bug has been erased) and when the players are "warming up" the game freezes. I doubt simming will get over this problem because simmed games still progress to this screen.

If you keep beating him easily, why don't you play with an inferior team if you think you're so much better?

I'll tell you this. I'm not as naturally gifted a video gamer as pants but the last couple of sessions no game has been won by over a goal except for when I mutilated him 7-2 with Porto. He is also too proud a human to lower his skillset and its as likely as David Brent increasing his blood pressure on purpose. I've watched him mercilessly belt me on 11 and 12 and I've worked out the element of my game that allowed his free scoring. As such, I massively have enjoyed the last few sessions.

That deletes the point of the game? haha
I play most games, but the point of manager mode to me is creating the best team (or getting a small team to the PL). It's a bit hard to do that after one season (unless your Real Madrid or Man City).
I play online to test my skills, have fun etc.

Not really. Most people on here sim games at some point. Beats playing games that you know you'll most likely win anyway.

****ing Porto.

But yes the games have been a lot more fun with this version.

It's harder in this game to just "walk" around you at kick off.

icefreak is shit though. Remember how he convinced himself he would lose when he was like 5 goals up on me.:D

Welp, guess I'll have to start a new Manager Mode now. My team is just too beastly it isn't even fun anymore. It only took me 4 seasons (started as Leeds) to build:

K.Walker (86) - M.Nastasic (88) - T.Kalas (86) - Jordi Alba (84)
........................................Adryan (88)
...........G.Bale (89)...........M.Gotze (91)...........P.Arestidou (scouted player, 82 overall, 90-95 potential)
.......................V.Fischer (88)..............Neymar (90)

No one on my squad over 28 years of age. Got to this team simply by buying players for cheap (can pick up guys like Fischer and other young guns for under 2 million) or picking up young free agents with high potential and selling them a year later for profit. Also, the CPU handing out ridiculous transfer fees for players (sold Lucas for 90 million, was able to buy Gotze and Nastasic from that fee alone) makes it really easy to build a superstar team.
