Well designed game.

I beat Tottenham 4-0, but in the final seconds I have an injury where the player sits on the sidelines and waits for a break in play to be subbed out. So final whistle goes, the game still wants me to make that mandatory sub. So I sub him off, the players do their post match celebrations... and then, the game doesn't do anything. It just endlessly pans around the stadium. I can still pause, I can even still make substitutes (even though the game is technically over...) but the game won't end.

**** this. Game has so many bugs.

So I was sitting in 10th place on the Championship table with six games left, bit of a logjam but I had a shocking GD which was going to work against me - about 15 worse than everyone else. I needed 6 points from the last 2 games, comes down to the final match, West Ham (the top side) away to me (Brighton) and I got up 2-1 then parked the bus. Breezed through the playoffs a very happy man. What I loved so much was that my free agents came along really well (well, most of them) and I was still playing a couple of guys who'd been there from the start (Dunk, Caskey, Lua-Lua, Bridcutt). Also everyone seemed to share around the goals which made playing with Brighton a lot more versatile.

Squad ended up like this after my second season with the club:

Johnson (80)
Rose (79) - Dunk (79) - Reulet (75) - Gama de Oliveira (79)
Bridcutt (74)
Forster-Caskey (70) - Torres Belen (76)
Lopez Cabrera (78) - Marquinhos Gabriel (77) - Perez Soto (76)
Subs: Brezovan (54), Wynne (66), Aktaou (68), Brunner (71), LuaLua (76), Nouble (69), Agdestein (68)
A few observations/recommendations for the rest of you. Johnson is a great goalkeeper to pick up. I believe I picked him up for 3.5 mil at age 27 and he still progressed from 78 to 80. He has like 87 reflexes and 85 diving. Great player from the MLS.
Rose is a really solid CB/RB from France. He is only young at the start of career mode (early 20's) and has come along really well. Likes to work up the pitch and is strong as well. Bridcutt is just a solid toiler who fills the gap well. Caskey is still young but I reckon he's peaking so I might have to let him go soon.
Torres Belen I call "bell-end" because he is no good! :D In contrast, Lopez Cabrera and Perez Soto are two other FA's who have pace to burn and great finishing. Gabriel scored I think 12 goals for me through the season but as soon as the transfer window opened I was given offers by about 10 different clubs for his services (and he wasnt even listed). In the end I took Villa's 8.7 million offer because he's only worth about 4.5 million and I think he's peaked. Turns out he isn't a re-gen either, rather just a player with no photo.
Easy tip to find out whether a player is a re-gen or not: If they are a re-gen, under "positions" there will only ever be one. For instance if it's a CM re-gen it will just be CM. If it was a "normal" player with no photo, there might be CM/LM/CAM or something like that.

Serious? ffs. Looks like im going to have to let him go for as much as possible then :(

Blow out his wage and then sell him if he refuses.

Was given an unltimatum by the board... So i had to accept Real's offer of 67.5 Million for him. So pissed.

World class is so much harder that Professional its silly.

It's amazing how hard one step up is.

First game of Div 4 and I'm playing against Argentina (I'm Juventus). I'm dominating this person, I have like 12 shots with 9 on target. I also hit the post twice, should have been 3-4 goals up but leading 1-0 into the 89th minute and Messi gets into the box. I tackle him perfectly.... PENALTY.... bullshit.
This is the guys only shot for the whole game, and scores. I draw 1-1 because of a bullshit penalty. Could of been worse I guess if I had lost that way.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but I'm 10 seasons into a manager career, won 7 league titles and 4 champions league titles with 2 clubs and I still can't get a job in the EPL. What more do you have to do? Is anyone else having this problem? The only job opportunities in the EPL seem to be Man U, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs but apparently 4 champions league titles isn't enough credentials for me to get the gig. Considering starting over with a League 1 or 2 side.

Who are you playing as?

Was at FC Twente now at Fiorentina, only offers are from other Serie A teams or big EPL clubs which I'm apparently not qualified for!

Yeah, that's strange.

Now my career is freezing and won't let me go past Aug 13 2020. So over this game, all I want to do is play what I paid for. EA are a disgrace putting a game out like this! If 2k ever make a soccer game then EA won't sell a single copy of FIFA!

Mines the same, cant be bothered starting again either.

I wish I could get past 2013.

Yes they would.

I started a Pro career and it is much better than I thought. Started with Hannover and was loaned to Derry City in Ireland, I dominated that league and was gearing up for the Cup Final, while leading the scoring by 1 despite being a CM, when I tore my calf muscle. Ended up losing the golden boot by 1 goal.

In my second season, a few games in the boss told me I was in the squad for next game. When match day rolls around I wasn't even on the bench, before every single game I was told I would be playing but never got on the pitch. Ended up getting a loan to Villarreal in January where I will get to play my natural position of CAM, despite battling relegation they are much more fun to play with than Derry or Australia. Having better team mates should make it a bit less frustrating.

A few annoying things though, the defenders LOVE playing a little game of one-two with each other. Usually if I call for the ball it gets passed to me instantly, even if the player is not in the right position to pass at that second, unless the defenders are passing it around. My team mates also get to the edge of the box then sometimes will basically run in circles, it's as if they are waiting for me to get the ball and do something.

Amazing how little changes can affect your season so much. After about 12 games I was languishing in 15th spot during my first season in the Prem with Brighton. Finding it tough going. Marcos Junior, the striker I bought from Bayern, wasn't working for me. Lopez Cabrera had a great shot on him but seemed less useful in the middle. The only positives were Romarinho (RW from Corinthians - gun) and Frimpong who is a great holding mid.

Decided to change my formation from a custom 4-1-2-3 to a custom 4-1-3-2 and while it seems like a minimal change, it's working beautifully for me. Marcos Junior has turend provider at CAM and is also picking up a few goals himself, Cabrera is being played at ST despite being a CM and is absolutely dominating, while Perez Soto is picking up plenty of goals at the left ST position. Frimpong is holding down the midfield like a boss and I have three class CB's to rotate through. Everyone has also progressed 2 or 3 ratings this season!

I'm now 8th in the league after 19 games and looking to hopefully finish top 4. I got offered the Liverpool job a couple of games ago but turned it down. It's paying off - I just smashed Man City (who are 2nd) 7-0!!!

Team looks like this:
Renan Ribeiro (81)
Rose (80) - Dunk (80) - Reulet (78) - Gama de Oliveira (80)
Frimpong (81)
LuaLua (76) - Marcos Junior (82) - Perez Soto (79)
Lopez Cabrera (82) - Romarinho (80)

Ribeiro is a gun keeper. He plays for Atletico Mineiro in the Liga do Brazil, he's a real player but doesn't have a photo unfortunately. Starts as a 71-rated 22y.o. and he's now an 81-rated 27 y.o with 89 diving and 91 reflexes! Picked him up for 3.2 mil which I consider a bargain. He goes unnoticed because he has quite poor handling/kicking/positions stats but I've alwyas considered diving and reflexes the main two.

In the back four, Rose, Dunk, Reulet and Gama are still all very young - as is Milanovic, who is a 79 CB but starts on the bench. Reulet and Milanovic are almost identical players, both 20 y.o's, so I like to rotate them a bit. Rose is solid as is Gama; Dunk's been there from the start.

Frimpong has been boss-like at CDM. LuaLua is transfer listed but still does some okay things. Perez Soto, Marcos Junior, Lopez Cabrera are all freaks. Cabrera is now up to an 82, only 22 years old and worth 19.5 mill - insane. Romarinho is a revelation, also another real player without a photo, bought him from Corinthians for 5.5 mill, he's 27 but has still progressed 2 ratings to go up to 80. Sublime on the ball.

I found it funny how Chelsea had still hung on to Lampard too - he's 39 y.o or something and has gone down to a 62 overall! Unrealistic imo.

EDIT: Wow what a long post. Sorry if you're reading!

It's been fun taking over Liverpool and taking it upon myself to clear up the shit sandwich that they've made of themselves over the last few years. After the first transfer window of my second season I only have 3 original Liverpool players still starting for me (Johnson, Enrique and Assaidi. I was going to keep Agger but I was offered 20m for him and had to take it). Current line-up with a 4-2-3-1:

GK: Stekelenburg (85)
RB: Johnson (81)
CB: Dede (82), Kouyate (78)/Ogbonna (80) (both are young, strong, good in the air and ridiculously athletic for defenders)
LB: Enrique (80)
CDM: Tiote (82), Vidal (85) (played in a slightly more attacking role)
RM: Farfan (84)
CAM: Sessegnon (84)
LM: Assaidi (82)/Lallana (81)
ST: Emenike (82)/Muriel (80). Emenike is older, has a higher overall and gives me a better team structure due to his height and strength, but Muriel is just so effective and so much fun to play with.

Bench:
GK: Adan (73)
Ogbonna/Kouyate
Osvaldo Alonso (77). CDM from the MLS with good tackling ability and very good pace for a defensive player.
Joe Allen (80)
Sulejmani (79)
Assaidi/Lallana
Emenike/Muriel

If anyone here watches Calfreezy's QPR Manager Mode series on Youtube you'll know how good of a player Muriel is. Absolute freak, I think he peaks at like 88 or something.

Dede and Ogbonna are a deadly CB combination. Both pacey and strong. They got to 85 each when I was at Sydney FC.

EDIT: Woohoo the board just gave me a free $4.5 mill!! Cheers suckers!!!
