I reckon 4-2 is definitely achievable there. Would be great to have a strong start to the year and see the team play with some confidence. Friday night vs the Eagles will be massive!

Didn't know we had such a dream first 6 rounds! 5-1 is looking very handsome! ST.Kilda still worry me though, where do we play them? If we are at the G we could be 6-0, to play the Weagles. That would be fantastic!

I'm not sure if we should win all of these games, but I think we could go into each game quietly confident of giving a very good account our ourselves. If we do this, then it sets up a terrific round 7 game against West Coast at Subiaco. And, I will be there. :thumbsu:

From a non trolling outsider I think,

RD 1: RICHMOND Win
RD 2: ST KILDA Loss
RD 3: ESSENDON 50/50
RD 4: COLLINGWOOD Loss
RD 5: MELBOURNE 50/50
RD 6: ADELAIDE Win

From those games i see two definate losses, 2 definate wins and two 50/50 games. If they go your way you could be 4-2 or possibly 2-4 if things don't go your way.

I rate the Essendon game a 50/50 because regardless of how the two teams are traveling you never can tell who will win this fixture. Last year was a prime example, we were flying up until we played you guys yet you still got up.

Melbourne are better then alot of people think and they will be back around the mark next season. Good even list and quite underated. I think you will be a fair show but i couldn't tip either team with any confidence.

I do agree with what you say though, Carlton can go into all of these fixtures feeling confident of victory. Unless of course they suffer some early defeats which may then place then under some pressure and dent their confidence.

Good to see people are keeping a lid on it.

Although we have done our best recruiting in 20 years, have picked up the greatest player in the comp, have re-built from pres down, have half a dozen players on the verge of break-out seasons in 2008 and look every bit one step away from total AFL dominance, it is GOOD not to get over excited.

But that does NOT mean we should not be realistic...

Can see the Saints giving us a nudge, but in all honesty, not really in the hunt to beat the blues on a rampage.

The hooves of destiny are already sounding upon the path to glory, furious clouds of vengeance darken the sky as the Mighty Blues rise again to wreak havoc upon their foe and lay claim to victory.

6 and 0 , with the blues on top.

I would go more with Carlton 2nd by percentage! Unfortunately Geelong will get a 6-0 start but thump teams by more IMO.

Massive chance to beat St.Kilda if you ask me. We have been getting closer to them recently, and with Stevens and Judd in, and Baker missing due to suspension, who knows what a A-grade mids could do.

If Carlos can keep Gehrig relatively quiet, and Waite does the same to Riewoldt, then I really think we are in with a huge chance to beat them.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

In recent years, the Saints have been our bogey team, along with Geelong. If we can beat just one of them this year, i'll be happy :)

True... but then again its not hard to get closer to them considering they got so used to smashing us by around 100 points from 03-06... ;) The only way is up haha.
