Went to this game at the dome we would have won if not for bad umpiring and the 50 metre penalty against lappin for the 'attempted' trip.

Only saw bits and pieces of that game, as I was away. Playing them at the 'G, with the inclusions we are going to have, should give us a massive chance of getting over the line against them.

Although i dont think it is possible to actually play above yourself, i do believe that because we play a team oriented confidence style game that if we start to lose the plot we will come crashing down (ala Richmond this year). But you can honestly think you guys will push for finals or be 6-0 as some have suggested?

MIdway through last year we stopped being Carlton, and started being the might ****en blues.

We will not be the team that walked out last year. When you take Judd out of Eagles and put him in blues its not a single transaction. It is two. The first team has been weakened, the second team is strengthened. Sounds obvious, but is is highly relevant.

Further we are not getting one chriss judd, we are getting two champions. Stevens as well. (Hadley ?).

We are looking to have at least 2 players step up next year, with this many players in the pipeline it is virtually a fact. On top of this there will be an across the board increase. Thats the result of having a totally new playing group all playing together.

We are going to be a significantly better team, I think the absence of one DP will prove significant as well. Whether Ratten can benefit from this absenbse remains to be seen, however the mere fact that DP is gone is a vast improvement.

Blues will beat pies, bombers etc.

We will be between 4-5 wins.

richmond- BLUES BY 32

saints- ...saints by 16

essendon- blues by 43

collingwood- pies by 23

adelaide- blues by 27

melbourne- either way - 2 goals or less

WC- WC by 37

Agree with most but saints won't have a forward line other than Kosi, and Baker is a huge out (forgot about this ), I reckon we might pip them, as their rucks recover from pre-season injuries, Kosi to the ruck and??? FF.

Pies will miss Clement more than everyone thinks, we might just get them next year.

you always play well against the pies and vice versa no matter where eitheir team is on the ladder. could be a close one

crows and saints are also winnable . waite to shut down riewoldt and whos gonna kick their goals

west coast would be one i wouldnt tip carlton to win

if you guys can find two more to step it up in the backline and make a position their own back there, i think you couold surprise a lot of ppl , thats the only thing i see as a major weakness for the blues, along with a slight weakness in the ruck but not guy richards weakness

just some comments through this thread of our list over performing i think is rubbish, you dont make two finals series in a row on over performing(sure no one aims for an honorable loss or finish, but still ), our midfield isnt that slow eitheir. its not even the same midfield that we had two to three years ago. swan pendles didak clarke are slow?!
lastly we managed without clement for over half a year or more this year.

Yeah, true. A shitty second quarter when everything seemed to go against us didnt help. And Fevola didnt exactly have one of his better days either.

I think if you factor in that we have Judd, Stevens, Cloke and Hadley to come in for the loss of Lappin, Whitnall, Koutoufides and Kennedy, Adelaide have lost Hudson and Mattner (both had good days) from that game, its one we really should win on paper. Away from the Toilet at the G works even more in our favour.

Essendon- probable win
Collingwood- possible loss
Adelaide- probable win
Melbourne- possible win
West Coast- probable loss

I'm with you on those results, I will be disappointed if we don't beat Crows at home.
