First comic you ever read

Just finished book 3 (of 6) for Preacher this morning. I actually walked from the train station to my office whilst reading it to finish the last few pages... This is one of the best thing I've ever read. Do you have any other recommendations? is the "The Boys" a book by him? A guy at the comic shop I got them from said the same pair of writer & artist also did a great Punisher run.

The boys is by him and Darick Robertson ( I think for the majority of issues) and it is just a very Ennis take on the superhero genre as a whole. brilliant if you haven't read a bunch of capes comics but even better again if you have. Only thing is it gets super wordy after about #40 and runs out of steam
