I would tune in now and then for Amazing and DD but not any of the shit thats on these days

yeah i guess. some of my favourite shows are ones that started when, before or just after i was born and i only know about them now because of netflix or pirating.

tv now is generally crap

Fresh Prince screened on nine everyday at 4.30 or 5pm. That could have been in prime time was that good.

Now the poor kids just got an extra helping of the ****ing news or bold and the beautiful

i remember when i was sick as a kid they used to play welcome back kotter during the day

i wonder what sick kids these days watch as daytime tv

Everyone knows the character and it was a fad at the time but can anyone remember the actual show? Or seen any re-runs since?

My only recollection really was that it was decent at the start but got crap quickly.

get smart was probably the single raddest show of my childhood

a show that was just funny rather than getting all preachy like modern comedy

To be fair, ive hardly watched it but when was Fat Pizza not an ethnic stereotype? I thought that was the whole premise. Happy to be corrected.
I dont care if it was and not remotely offended by it but that kinda humour does not really gell with me personally. That type of show comes a cropper in its repetitiveness for me.

Doubt Jonah as a character would be acceptable today.

And several jokes would have been cut as well in this ultra PC world.

But legit- is one the funniest things Ive seen. All time greats, Ive seen it probably 6-7 times now. Still PMSL watching it.

There’s an Australian movie on SBS World Movies on Sundaynight called Alex and Eve about a Greek guy falling for a Lebenese girl if you want to see some stereotypes
