FWIW re. True crime shows, saw a fantastic one last night, Part 1 of 2 on the Claremont Serial Killer on Channel 10. Was absolutely glued to it.

The crimes and subsequent hunt for the guy was huuuge over here through all those years it was unsolved. I drive to the pool in Claremont a lot from Mosman Park and even still I often think about it when going through the intersection where Spiers disappeared.

Finished The Wire and it ends pretty well, would put it in with really good TV series but not with all time greats like The Sopranos or Breaking Bad/BCS category.
