My new favourite 7 BRAVO show: Dinner Date. Kind of like Blind Date with a twist, though not as good. Nothing else on on a Sunday afternoon .

I'm really enjoying Australian Idol. It reminds me of the first several seasons of American Idol before the country music virus took over the show. I didn't watch the first season of the American version, so I missed Kelly Clarkson's win. I just wasn't interested in singing shows back then. Season 2 won me over. I guess watching this version for the first time reminds me of 20 years ago. How time flies...

The AI judges dropped the ball a bit tonight. One of my two favourites wasn't chosen. At least they dumped the country singer. Keeping an even split between male and female. Last four to be chosen tomorrow. The one I've liked from the very start better make it.

So I went to both JB HiFi and Good Guys to get something to record TV. Both tried to flog me actual recorders at $600 a pop like wtf. Am not paying that much to record the odd hour of FTA. I dont understand how if the TV has USB ports, why cant i record to a cheaper USB.

I ended up with a Set top box which I can't even connect to the TV (does not have those red, yellow + white outlets, like for a DVD player) and still cant connect the DVD player either. (got a different cable for that- which connects to the TV but not to the DVD).

That should be perfect, heaps of storage 2TB = 2000 hours of recorded TV which more than plenty. I always run out of time to watch stuff so I’ve still got things recorded from 2020. Just plugs into the USB on the side of the TV but the only limitation is when recording say Survivor at 730 you can’t watch MAFS at the same time. So I’d be recording the repeat of shows while you’re at work or out to watch when there’s nothing on.

No it doesn’t, you record through the EPG and a little recording symbol comes up next to the program that’s being recorded

Yeah it does. it also has the feature on the TV Guide. click on a show, comes us with 2 options- a reminder or to record it. Then a prompt for a USB device if you hit record.

Well, well, well... Harry got it right. Gave a Touchdown to Angelina who goes directly into the Top 12. The other three are OK( best was Jasey), but Angelina is the one to beat.

I guess I'll be voting next week, unless I have to sign away my birthright to register. I did vote on American Idol back in the '00s.
