bought a new bed today from aldi - was a special buy a week or so ago and there was one left at a store i went by - king size like my current one.

I need to get a new mattress (double) soon. Wanted to get a whole new queen bed but wont be doing that now.
How much was the Aldi mattress?
Whilst I've been painting my room I sleep in a spare room just on some old foam mattress on the ground, I swear I sleep way better like that than on a proper bed lol.

Ive slept on the floor, no mattress. Was wrapped up in a comfy doona, had a great nights sleep

Roundabout the same prices captain snooze offers- will just go there. I got my last bed from there and was happy with it
I think psychologically I must like being low to the ground when sleeping? When I was a kid I'd have friends stay over and often during school week after they had gone then sleep on the mattress on the ground instead of my own bed. I'm gonna get a new bed for the room, actually looked for some frames that whilst not on the ground where very low.
The again from memory always got a decent sleep on the trampoline outside in summer!
Funniest was when Martin Pyke said that the Wakelin twins would still sleep in a bunk bed with the lights on.
