Had problems with Uber Assist again. Drivers took my booking then canceled since the distance I have to go is only 2km. Had two cancel going there. After the third accepted and I didn't see his car moving on the GPS I called him and he said he was coming. On the way back nobody wanted to take the fare since they were so far away and it was a short trip. Finally one guy who was up at Tullamarine took it. I waited a few minutes then contacted him when the GPS icon didn't move. He said he was coming and did. Both of the drivers who did pick me up were really nice as usual. I even tipped both.
Tomorrow I'm going to book early just in case I have the same problem. I really shouldn't since it's a fair distance to the city. Coming back might be a problem since I'll be done by about 4:45pm. My vision is getting worse so I have a hard time picking up the registration plate of the cars whizzing past on Royal Parade in Parkville. All models of cars look alike to me so I rely on colour to help find the right one.Why are so many damn cars white or silver here? I once had a purple Uber pick me up which stood out like sore thumb.
