Just got back from the Eye and Ear Hospital. They did a bunch of preliminary tests. Only took two hours. Both eyes have cataracts so I'm having my left eye done first then the right one. I don't know how long I'll have to wait. Very nice people there. Will need to have someone with me when I get each eye done.

Actually ive only ever had good experiences in ALL the times ive been to hospital... so Eye n Ear, wisdom teeth, and x2 IV fluid ER trips...

Cataract surgery is done with the patient awake, right? Just some local anaesthetic, some drops to dilate the pupil and then its time for a needle in the eye

I had mine out at 23, they had mainly come thru, so my operation was a piece of piss. Done under GA too.

Not much blood, not much swelling... pain tho. there was considerable amount of pain for the next couple days. Couldnt eat a thing for 3-4 days.


Get a lot of ice cream.

I had my wisdom teeth out when I lived in Perth. Another reason to hate the place...

LOL My brother is being depicted in today's Lifetime Movie. I had no idea until today that someone had portrayed him in it, even though I have seen the movie before. He was involved with the prosecution of a group of polygamists in Arizona.


They just showed him. He appeared on a few TV news shows about the case, even being iterviewed by Anderson Cooper on CNN once.
