I know hindsight is 20/20... but that case of him dragging that woman into a bathroom, and her breaking free.. and them basically not giving two shits about that...

makes me very angry

Sounds to me, with all the warning signs.. they could have caught that prick alot earlier.

They wasted a heap of time and resources for years following some eccentric guy (Lance something?) that was just giving people lifts home lol.

I think a couple of years ago you said you hadn't heard of it but that case was/is huge over here. Before they caught him every single time I drove past the spot they were on the way to Claremont pool I'd think about it. All happened in a very affluent part of Perth.

Wasnt the fact he worked for Telecom (the chick he dragged into the bathroom knew that)- was just so ****ing obvious. Would have been easy af to track him down via there.

But then again he was only committing rapes back then, not murders.

Would have gotten a slap on the wrist anyway

Mum was with us as we drove past the spot on Stirling Hwy and the subject came up before he got caught. She goes well he must be in prison or dead because serial killers can't stop after they start. I'm like yeah maybe.. but how do you know that? He could have moved interstate or something. Plenty of other missing people also around WA. SK's do sometimes stop for long periods as well.

After the 3rd one the heat around there would have been insane as well as the general public paranoia, you would have to be a complete imbecile to go a fourth time anywhere near there.

Yeah there's lots of reasons why SKs stop.

Came close/scared of getting caught, life circumstances change, change jobs/get married, move, die, get sick, go to jail for something completely unrelated..

Idk if they develop a conscious tho and really want to stop.

Yep should've have even been allowed to get started.

I think the dude was some lifelong volunteer and award winner for little athletics lol. That's the thing with these monsters, they hide in plain sight and would seem just normal to other people.
