This is one of the most twisted movies I've seen. You're a sick puppy Shell

I dont mind the odd Art House movie once in a while. And idk, I saw this one come out at the movies but didnt get a chance to go see it.

And like I said, I gave the book a red hot go (I got up to the point where she's getting off looking across the street at her neighbour) but just couldnt do it. The lack of chapters was srsly pissing me off.

The movie does stick to the book pretty closely tho. Except in the book she's a movie script reader person, who then gives them the green light to become movies. And her ex is a whiny lack of talent no hoper, who keeps writing scripts that arent good enough.

Re the actual movie:

- thought the plot was brilliant.
- the opening scene is like an actual punch to the face. Am glad it wasn't long.
- could spot double meaning lines of dialogue all over the place
- I didnt like the way the glamourized rape in the end, just.. gave me the complete willies. Like fair enough if you get off on that, im not going to judge. But I think it's a tad irresponsible to show that in a mainstreamish movie.
- I was waiting for a twist, like a massive twist at the end to reveal it wasnt that guy at all, but some other guy. I was left wanting
- I enjoyed the end "end". ie. she's basically kicking out all the toxic deadshit men in her life.

You know who I thought it was kozi the guy from the video game place who proclaimed he "loved her" and was nice to her.

Thought that would have been an epic reveal.

One other thing if you could- I missed a part of the scene when they were explaining what the dad had done.

Can you pls fill in these gaps for me? Obviously he killed some ppl, but what context??? Or just a crazy person living a double life?

It was good how that subplot added another layer to the movie.

Got "We Need to talk About Kevin" vibes from it.

Yeah S4 Fishers is still good but it's definitely weaker than 1-3.

Heard that it finishes really well in 5 though.
