You know who I thought it was kozi the guy from the video game place who proclaimed he "loved her" and was nice to her.

Thought that would have been an epic reveal.
I thought it was mr turtle neck straight away just because he was tall. Then I was like nah surely not. So I was still reasonaly surprised

One other thing if you could- I missed a part of the scene when they were explaining what the dad had done.

Can you pls fill in these gaps for me? Obviously he killed some ppl, but what context??? Or just a crazy person living a double life?
They didn’t say exactly. Just some mass murderer

How was old mate right after the initial rape getting on like nothing happened. That was weird

Also going down to his basement to see his heater like wtf did she think was going to happen. Then it turns out part of her was turned on by the whole thing. That was the most f’d up part for me

Yeah thats what I meant by glamorizing it
Well they set up to make a f’d up movie and boy did they nail that. Glamorizing it was all part of the mystique. I get from a woman’s POV it would have been satisfying to see her go all Kill Bill but I can see why they deliberately didn’t take it down that road. Going the way they did added a whole new level of f’d up depth

That was believable from my POV. She was a strong, older intelligent woman. And she didnt want to go cops because of her father/notoriety
Yeah totally. Just the cut scene and how incredibly normal she was sitting with her cat is what did it for me

Also it was completed utter bullshit the way they portrayed her injuries as a result of the violence.

Hes belting the living sh*t outta her amd there's barely a ******* scratch on her.

Again, irresponsible and inaccurate
Everything was backwards, they wanted us to sympathise with her as little as possible

The main take away I get is they were deliberately deceiving in the narrative they hinted at in the preview. They set female viewers up for some big rogue revenge plot and it was anything but. Just looking now at all the awards its won, no way that sort of hype would have been generated had they played it with a straight bat. They knew what they were doing and executed it to a tee knowing full well there would be some level of backlash. That was always going to be part of making the film bigger than it otherwise would have been
