The best day going to the show was back in 2009, 2 days before the Grand Final. Was such a brilliant sunny day, just like today. Went with my then bf, next day had a GF eve party. That whole year was probably the best year ever, had a great holiday to the Gold Coast in December.

That year has never been topped unfortunately.

It's tinged with sadness a bit tho- cause all those friends/ex's I'm literally in contact with only 1 of them now. 1 solitary friend from that era.

I remember the last time I texted my ex (he's over the other side of town), asked to catch up for a drink in the city. Got a long winded text back about how busy he is. Never heard from him since.

Another mate during lockdown, asked to catch up for a coffee half way point replied how busy she was for the next 2 months.


That was about 2 years ago now.

I guess its harder to say "I dont want to know you anymore".

I deleted all their numbers now.

Oh god no. Like 100000% no. We got along really well after we broke up- this was back in 2012.

The original friend from back then is still a good friend. We text each other during the footy (she has 2 kids under 3 atm, so can't go to games)- and we're going to catch up next September holidays.

He really annoyed me if anything. He would always say 'Heeeeeellloooooooo!" like they do in that episode with Jerry's girlfriend- the one they drop the big ball of oil on.

I came to the realisation recently that most of the people in my life that I have been 'friends' with were complete dick heads.

Nah my footy mates werent dickheads, they were all great ppl. We've just lost touch over the years (or a complete ghost like that biatch who was busy for 2 months which turned into 2 years)
