Generalisation tho.
I remember at my last school some of the biggest campaigners were the kids in the gifted/advanced program. And you'd probably assume the opposite wouldnt you.
Same kinda deal with private v public imho.
What is the gifted program? Is it basically doing the next year level's work, early. Or is it a special customized syllabusi was in a gifted program and look what a winner i turned out to be

Yeah I didn't mind doing at all it but only capable at that level, the hard one like engineers would have completely no idea lol. English was good apart from those stupid speeches they made you do, pure torture.I really liked Maths in VCE. Was very strange the 180 degree turnaround
My ex did engineering, (mature age student) he showed me the maths they were doing at first year level. It literally gave me a headache just looking at it.Yeah I didn't mind doing at all it but only capable at that level, the hard one like engineers would have completely no idea lol. I liked trade school the reason of course it is all completely related to work in the real world you do during the week so it means something. I passed every single unit first time which would be pretty rare.

My brother said that the mathematics in first year mining engineering was just ridiculously difficult and totally unnecessary for the actual job. The only reason he could think of why they did it was to weed people out early on because 2nd year onwards was a breeze in comparison. My ex did engineering, (mature age student) he showed me the maths they were doing at first year level. Omg me too. I did Food Tech got a study score of 40. English, Biology, Literature and Maths, all study scores in the 30s.
Got 58 TER.
****ing. Bullshit.
Upon reflection, I would have also loved to have done Psychology and Health and Human Development. Not to mention Legal in Yr 12.I did English, English language, literature, political studies and legal studies. Dropped maths as soon as I got to vce. It used to bore me to tears

There just was not enough subject slots.
And years 7-9, I endured History, Geography and Italian. I ****ing hated those subjects.
