Surf is good as long as it is nice and even and not ridiculous in size (Margret RiverI rarely go near surf beaches. Bay beaches all the way, or pools.
Surf beaches are fking scary
I'm very strong in the pool of course but even I'm very cautious with the ocean purely through lack of regular experience in there. You get mainly tourists that just go in when they probably hardly even know how to even float, I don't get how they aren't scared off just by looking at it.Maybe when tourists fly into Melbourne there should be warnings or something on those cards about tides and rips, etc. Dont just bloody swim where ever you like..
