IR outlook looks a bit better from what they said in the US last night, but who knows for sure really.

It honestly doesn't matter to me. Even if they come down my payments wouldn't change anyway so it's a moot issue.

I locked in 3 years for 6.74%

The change from 2.5% to that was like $50 per month

Obviously it restricts me in the extra I can put on it to only 10k a year. But I'll just keep saving and once the three years is up drop a whole load more onto it. No real rush

I reckon, unless something huge happens in my life out of my control, I can reasonably have a 50k mortgage as of the end of 2026.

It was so weird the other day- we got our pay delayed by about 12-24 hours- didnt worry me in the slightest. This other worker was borderline panicking that she "couldnt pay for going out to dinner tonight" I just shrugged and said "just put it on your credit card"

She looked at me like i had two heads and she could never get a credit card.


Yeah I just dont understand ppl who cannot manage money. Its the easiest thing in the world to me.
