I'm pissed off with the ATO at the moment. They charged my mum interest for a "late payment". We are not paying and we have applied for a remission of the interest.

They let big businesses and the rich get away with paying minimal tax and they pick on innocent individuals.

Before getting capital gains I always got a decent refund.

Trades you have a lot of deductions from expenses though.

One thing I find funny is that people assume that because you are trained as a regular electrician you also know car electrics. The mechanic just explained what was wrong with my starter motor and I had nfi what he was talking about. Totally different.
