One of our residents passed away yesterday. On Sunday, I heard backup beeps and saw an ambulance and fire truck go past my unit. The resident apparently had a stroke. She was one of only about a dozen that I'd always talk to when I'd see her. She had been suffering from dementia and had refused to use a walker or even a cane, though she could just shuffle around. She also had fallen a number of times.

I've had no qualms using my walker. I'm old and have a neurological disease and am prone to falling. The walker allows me to get around, though rather slowly, but safely. Just today, when my AgedCare helper was getting me into her car at the local shopping centre, a gentleman asked her if she needed any help getting me in. I find people more than willing to lend a helping hand. Even at Aldi today, people moved out of the way when my helper was pushing me up and down the aisles. I guess having been a caregiver to my parents, I've been prepared for my current situation.

The woman talking...(think it was a family friend, don't think it was a sister)...said she was already falling for him after that first date so pushed that incident aside.

‘That was OJ’. This was often the response from people who knew OJ when he’d conduct himself poorly (not just regarding assaulting women but generally)

The ESPN 30 for 30 on OJ is fantastic

People turning a blind eye are just as bad as the rapist.
