Just braved the weather (got absolutely soaked and windblown) to walk the 10 mins to local fish n chip shop. They had posted they were open (they live locally and had stock) so that was dinner sorted (and i dont have to get into my food supplies )

Saw one other person walking when walking back and we had a great laugh as we passed eachother. She was going to fishnchips also

Just put it in like three plastic bags. Might get soggy but at least it's dry

Cairns was meant to get a big one 10 to 15 years ago and all the big tv stars went up to cover it however it ended up not as bad as predicted. Damage was caused but not as severe as early estimates
