Given the fact Martin, Conca, Ellis, Vlastuin, and even Vickery were all basically locks for us pre-draft, its extremely annoying having no idea realistically on who we are going to draft - you could throw a blanket over 6-7 of them.

IMO I hope we take Lennon, we have enough 'pure' midfielders and not enough small-medium goalkickers, and he can also rotate through the middle anyway.

Also for what its worth I just asked Callum Twomey (yes I know) on the AFL live chat about our pick at 12 and he said 'Lennon is a good chance at the Tiges, yep. A very good chance.'

speaking of Twomey how do we rate all the so called draft experts?? Twomey v Brett Anderson V Quayle v Lansberger and any of the others i've missed. I especially wonder how much people rate their judgement vs their ability to get inside knowledge of where a player will go.

Quayle is the one I listen to.

Yeah for mine she is the strongest too but she has a horrible victorian bias in her rankings of players. I honestly think all 4 have pretty average judgement when judging the potential of draftees.

You'd have to go with Quayle, cause there's not too many good so-called 'draft experts' to choose from

This just reminded me of what Dennis Commetti (?) said once....(off topic but bear with me here). I think it was a doggies game he was calling and fair dinkum he snuck in "got a great head on him Dick"......made me double take. I checked out the replay and sure enough, he did say it & get away with it. I think he's my favourite, don't think he takes himself too serious. He has snuck these pearls in from time to time. Cracks me up & doesn't seem to get in trouble for it........Just thought you all might have a chuckle...

I think part of it is just getting people to tell the story. She has access and credibility. Her articles with draftees and especially that one on Alex Rance earlier this year were just fantastic.

Most of it is quotes, but clearly players trust her. You'd never get that sort of insight from some Stevo knob.

But yeah, I wouldn;t want her in charge of recruiting.

if salem and lennon are there we go salem, lennon next in line. have no idea if both of them are gone.

Bunch of scrubs. Quayle is good for knowing where players will go, but she doesn't know much about which players are good.

Anything that the AFL or hun journos say about the code should be taken with many grains of salt, this doesn't just go for the draft, but anything really.
