I had my 3rd ever fishing experience today. How have I never discovered this pass time before! It's a lot of fun especially when you land a nice juicy flat head and throw it back, the look on the other fisher people's faces is classic!

Throw it back? Should see the look on my face. I guess you don't like flathead or it was too small. They can be the only two reasons, the only two - or - you had already caught a dozen.I had my 3rd ever fishing experience today. How have I never discovered this pass time before! My wife caught a dead goldfish at home this morning. apparently junior toolgirl wasn't too happy about it and shed a few tears.
Happy cat though!
Had six gold fish in a large pot outside as a feature. They had grown quite large. unfortunately during our hot summer down in Melb coupled with the water restrictions I came home and found them par boiled!
I know a few people who are similar. How about if somebody put a pig on a spit? Could you eat that? Or does the animal need to be completely concealed when cooked?on this ocasion we went to Scarborough.
And to Dr Pea P.I I threw it back cos I don't wanna kill anything. I could so not eat something that was living and breathing in my hands before. I know it may may seem weird but I couldn't eat something I had looked in the eye. I unhook it, thank it for playing kiss my finger, pat it on the head (can't kiss it like Rexy) and let it swim away to play another day.
I also can't eat anything that resembled what it looked like when it was alive, if I eat fish it has to be a fillet. I have been to restaurants where they serve the whole fish up in front of you and I have to send it back. My partner caught a flat head, made sure I didn't see him kill it, he took it home and folleted it but then he took it to his mum's cos it wouldn;t be eaten in our house.
I know I am weird but that is not news to me!!![]()
Is that Lucky cat. Ours normally went to the Weribee Fishing Heaven.

nope can't do pig on a spit either, it simply cannot resemble in the least what it looked like when alive
So would prawns, oysters and mussels be out of your culinary equation?nope can't do pig on a spit either, it simply cannot resemble in the least what it looked like when alive
Is that how they cook mermaids? Arent they half human? What about a nice char grilled mermaid?
