Not such a bad draw. 9 of the last 10 games are in Melbourne, that's a bonus. We get most of the Interstate games done within the first half, and none of the interstate travel is back to back as it has been in the past.

AFL must be confident of the Dogs having another good year to allocate 5 Friday night games!:D

I think we should have our games against Collingwood at the MCG. Last time we played them at the MCG we got over 65,000 people there. It irritates both bulldogs and collingwood fans. Also disapointing that our rnd 1 game is the only game that clashes with the grand prix. I do like how theres more melbourne based games at the end of the year

Based on this year, 4.00pm Melbourne time.

Its at subi though - and scheduled as a night game so 7.10 earliest start WA time
Gotta be wrong.... We wont see it until 9 or 10 something like that. I would think its going to be a twilight game 4.40 WA Time?

Not that bad. Good to get the Sunday games out of the way early.

I wonder which North players will have milestone games in rounds two and thirteen.

I like the draw. The AFL has given us a major selling point to potential sponsors 5 Friday night games against Rich, Coll, Esse, and Geel. If we play as well as we did this year and make the finals what sponsor could resist that especially a betting agency.

It is a shame we have to travel so much but that is our lot.

Round 1 - Freo at Subi
Round 2 - Nth Melb at MCG.

The dogs may very well start 0 and 2 .

Even if the dogs can manage to beat Freo, the subi curse will always strike and the dogs will be facing their bogey team in Nth Melb.

But if the dogs are good enough, this shouldn't matter....right?

Just another thing I noticed.

We don't really have any 4-5 game patches where things are overly hard, and we don't have any patches where it's easy (for lack of a better word) either.

Will be a season where consistent form will be rewarded.

Reasonable draw.

The run of Sunday games at the beginning isnt flash, but at least we get them out of the way.

Some good Friday games against big drawing clubs.

Plus a public holiday game. :thumbsu:

Return games are against an even spread of teams, not overly difficult or hard.

Im really happy with that draw. Have a reasonable start to the season and it should set up our season. Would be happy with 6 - 0 also 5 - 1
