I don't like the fact that our 3 MCG games (including our 1 home game) are against the lowest drawing elbourne Clubs. You would think we could get one against one of the better drawing games.
Got to love this from the AFL website:
"McLachlan said the reigning premiers had earned the right to have strong free-to-air exposure after the Hawks won their first flag since 1991 this year. He also nominated some emerging teams as others to benefit from the fixture.
"Hawthorn is a big winner this year in the fixture in terms of their free exposure," McLachlan said.
"Carlton and their resurgence and Richmond probably have more exposure in that sense.
"Obviously the teams who were strong last season – Geelong and St Kilda have got very good draws as well as Collingwood."
Could have sworn we finished third...
If I am correct we will have 14 free-to-air games this year, with only 8 on FOX. This is compared with 10 on FTA and 12 on FOX last year.
What a frigging joke, we derserve more games than Carlton, Richmond, Essendon and Collingwood.
I agree it sucks we get the low drawing Nth Melb for 2 of our 3 MCG games. It makes no sense. At least only one is our home game.
I didn't look, but are we up against another game in Melbourne on those days as well?
Looks like the boss will be happy, lots of Saturdays at home early in the season means more chores for me
Also looks like lots of trips to the pub to watch the interstate games - now that is a shame![]()
I don't think it is very fair that we get to play more games than those sides.
I mean about them getting more games on free to air TV than us, you don't agree?
He means finals.![]()
Yes, I was wrong.You're not correct.
We have an 11/11 split.

Blue= win
Red= lose
Black= undecided.
I kinda expect to lose no games. If we get unlucky we lose some games u know how it works but if luck goes our way and we stay focused on winning, i expect that!
so overall id say about 18-4!
I wouldn't be so confident beating North, and especially Carlton. Geelong, Hawthorn, Carlton and North are the teams we should be fearing. We know we can and probably will beat everyone else.
If we can win two of those six fixtures, we've probably broken even. And I'm serious. Carlton's going to be a very good side, anyway, let alone the edge they have against us through match-ups.
Beside's Fevola which one's in particular give us the greatest concern?
Fevola is hardly a concern. He has played one good game against us, and that was the last meeting.
Judd is clearly the main concern. Murphy, Gibbs, Stevens, Carrazzo, Waite, Scotland, Walker and Fisher always seem to play well against us too.
Judd, Carrazzo, Stevens, Murphy and Waite especially seem to always play extra well against us. Not sure why you have only included Fevola, whose tally of six goals against us this year is his best performance ever against us. Hardly anything inspirational for a goal-kicking stud.
Hell, even Houlihan and Bannister seem to fire against us when they play.
