Don't see it with Adelaide.

Midfield will be exposed too many times.

You're right about Adelaide's mids and Cats too. Too many passengers. Not enough players doing the work. I think there are far too many lazy players at Cats and too many young players who just don't get it at Adelaide. The Saints mids are far better than both these sides. I think the suns would be if they get rid of Ablett as they rely too much on him. Norf will rue getting rid of Wells as he was their most effective mid last year. The Pies told everyone they were rebuilding and then went for old trade. Wells will be good but don't expect too much from Pendelbury, he looked cooked last year. if you are looking for an outsider for the eight I'll give you two; Dees and Saints. They both have the right ingredients they just didn't have the consistency in the cooking process.

Had a look at training today. Darcy Cameron has got a leg on him and is very accurate even from 50. Some of the young guys were fast, damn fast, Rohan fast.

Shaun Edwards is having fun and fitting in really well. He and Isaac were doing tricks and seemed to be getting along very well. Edwards would rugby pass the ball to Heens who would dropkick a goal. I think Shaun Edwards has huge potential and I think he will benefit from being at a club with lots of experienced players. When he was at GWS it was a very young list and then he went to Essendon and he same problem persisted. At Sydney he has the best experience to copy, lots of good examples. He looked good on the track.

So did Talia, Sam Reid and Hannas. Speaking of Hannas he is the unbreakable man. gets injured in the Granny and seems fit as a fiddle now. Reid is doing all the competitive work and looked sharp. Foote looked very good as did Ramps, Reg, Lloydy and of course Heens. Ben Ronke looked right at home as did Cameron, Fox & Pink. Guess what nickname Toby Pink has? Pinky haha, same as mine. By the way Ronke is a bit like zac Jones in that he doesn't do things by halves. He laid a tackle and nearly killed the teammate. He's tenacious, a good kick and fast.

Hayward did laps. I was wrong about him. I thought him far too light for AFL but his body is one lythe muscle factory. He is built like steel. So I am not worried he might just be making the numbers in the Dew kickers in 2017. I think if his body is right he'll be pushing for a spot.

No shows; Buddy (on light duties probably took an early mark), Aliir (don't know what happened here. Thought his injury would be ok by now), Parks ( surgery), Paps (surgery). Macca, Sinclair, Dawson, Hayward, Naismith & AJ all did laps. AJ slow at this stage of his rehab, after all he isn't due back until March next. mind you he had a couple of kicks.

I love the way you pop up with random facts that no one else can be bothered finding to discredit someone. Never change SF51!

I had money on the Fairytales this year on GF day, so that me and my mate had drinking money to wash away the pain should we not get the result we wanted. It didn't make it any less painful to see us lose, but at least it meant we had plenty of cash to drown the sorrows in!
Honestly don't know how anybody could do this. Maybe it's good that I don't gamble.

A lot of people on here saying they can't wait to see Heeney and Mills in the midfield. Um, don't we sort of need them up front and down back respectively? Are we that laden with talent that we can afford to shift one of our best forwards and one of our best defenders out of their positions?

Hells to the yizzay!

But in honesty I reckon Dawson/Hayward/Rose can fill in Heeney's role forward and Newman and Jones and Loyd can be good off halfback. I think Mill's won't get a run on the ball just yet though. He'll be at halfback for at least half this season.

That might be the case but I saw many Collingwood games last season and he wasn't much chop (every televised game that came to Sydney). Quite frankly I'm very surprised that he got anywhere near 17 votes. I'm also surprised he rated well in the AFL. I still don't think he gives as much output as he used to and as far as I could see didn't seem to be doing a lot in the majority of matches. He had a few very good matches when they won. But in many of their losses he was pretty well held or his possessions were ineffective. I watch every game that is on telly in Sydney. We get Collingwood very often as they are very popular here. judd polled very well no matter what, even if he had a bad season or was basically ineffective. I think some players poll on reputation alone. Accumulating possessions is all wonderful if they are actually making a difference but if they are hunted down by the opposition or smothered or in the case of Ablett against us all handball (which can be effective of course but not the way he was getting the ball and handing off) just to get out of trouble then they are ineffective.

Everyone has these ridiculous standards for Pendlebury, any other player and he had a great season. Wasn't his best season but was very good. Behind Treloar was the Pies best in 2016.

Who does that remind you of? JPK gets the same reaction from our board after a "quiet game" of 25 possessions

Exactly the one in our side. A bad game and he's still got 25-27 disposals and a goal...

I preferred being ignorant of facts when it comes to undermining ANY criticism of collingwood team, players, coaching staff and especially eddie the idiot.....but I appreciate the effort

I think Mills will be more easily replaced than Heeney - Nic Newman being the obvious candidate to step up and put his hand up to be part of the back 6.

Are you an umpire by any chance ?
