Because Jesse White is exactly what we need on our list. They'd have to give US pick 44 for it to be worthwhile.

Jesse White has shown more than most of our forwards at the moment, particularly for his size!! JR the obvious exception.

But Jesse White is one of these "average types" that you need to replace right? You can't have too many of these type of players in your team. You need back in our undeveloped spuds and hope they come good.

Wrong you can have some average/handy types like Maric, White and Chaplin, you just can't have too many of them. And the more you have the more stars you need around them. Just look at Hawthorn, plenty of average types there. Provided they play their role well and fits the team well there is nothing wrong with an average type in a premiership team.


You can't have duds though. And some of our players in the past like Graham and Browne were pushing that category.

The question for RFC is how many average types do we have and how many are above average versus below average and where can they be. For me we have too many average types together in the forward line and possibly the backline in certain areas. IMO guys like McIntosh really need to blossom to provide the classs to lift and support some of our average types down back and our forward line simply needs more class to help JR. The other thing is JR needs some key forward support more so than Ruck/forward support IMO.

At pick 44, at his age White for me would be a better trade and fit for RFC than Hampson IMO.

If we had of got a young gun , picked up Longer and White and maybe lost a average player in the process we would have killed the trade period and not really disaffecting our window!!
