Not entirely sure that our form is any worse. We are a different team with Cameron cox and mcstay all missing. Let’s not underestimate what that’s done to our structure. We are missing Howe to a lesser extent but that too was amplified when the defence lost Frampton to cover ruck. It meant Moore was unable to play his natural game as effectively.

Also not sure we were exactly humming against Geelong. Great win but we gave up three seperate four goal leads during that game. You don’t do that too many times against good teams and come back every time to win the match. Wouldn’t want try try that on in finals!
As I addressed it.

That is in part due our structure has been thrown into disarray and we've had to adjust that is the opposite of ideal, I'm confident we can regain structure when the whips are cracking, still, gotta find that form at the right time.

What show is that from?

No.

Nup.

Not at all.

I have no expectations. Zero. None. Nada.

I am simply enjoying the journey.

And if they do win the flag shouldn’t that be a joyous thing, rather than simply a ‘tick, expectations met’?

And if they don’t win the flag, hey, it’s a shame, but I still will have enjoyed the journey.

But for this week we’re playing for four points against Swans. No flags on offer this weekend.
Fair enough. Regardless of who you barrack for the majority of seasons are not going to be premiership seasons. So if your enjoyment of footy hinges solely on whether your team wins the flag, you might as well find another pass time, or you'll be disappointed most of the time. If the Pies have a good year, but ultimately fall short, I'll still be grateful for the enjoyment they gave me along the way. It's important to enjoy the journey.

Indeed.

Plus …

“Do you expect the Pies to win the flag?”

“Do you want the Pies to win the flag?”

“Do you think the Pies will win the flag?”

… are three very different questions with three potentially very different answers (for me: No, Yes and NFI ‘cause I don’t follow the competitors beyond taking a very keen interest in Carlton’s woes)

Yes. Do you think the Pies will win the flag? Might have been a better question. I'll start another fred.

Isn't Q1 and Q3 the same?

I agree to both.

Q2 obviously as well.

No.

“Does your Mum expect you to call her early on Mother’s Day?” is a different question to “Does your Mum think you’ll call her early on Mother’s Day?”

Will revisit if we’re 50 points up with 3 minutes to go in the GF. Until then I’m never confident
During the 1990 GF, Pie supporters were in stunned silence, even when it was obvious to everyone else that we were gonna win it.

I tried to soak it in during the last quarter in 2010 but was too pissed to appreciate it
I was wasted in 1990. Celebrated all night and didn't go to bed until the Sunday night. So after that I said I wanted to experience a premiership sober, which I got to do in 2010.
