Gonna give this a little bump - does anyone want to just rate a list of players out of 100 for me (i.e. someone do the 40 players at geelong or you know, rate a team list)? Ablett'd be a 98/99, Watson a 95, franklin a 97 but someone like Ed Curnow only a 75 or something. A 2nd round draftee would average about 55. I think that's how the ratings'll work anyway. I'll scale if need be.
All good if nobody's keen but it wouldn't take long and it'd help me out heaps, especially for clubs I'm not too familiar with. Doesn't require game knowledge, just afl knowledge!
Good to hear mate. If I gave you the bombers would that be alright as you seem to be a fan of them!

I'm happy to do Richmond if you want?
I did essendon myself yesterday which means this is really good - I've got someone to compare notes with. We're actually very similar - I think I've rated Winderlich well above you and Fletch well above you but they're the only discrepancies. I'm not sure you've got the whole potential thing right though as I'm pretty sure most players who are 18-19 will improve a good bit over time, just with natural progression. Bit harsh on Daniher don't you think- I had him at 96 potential.
Anyway, here is a little sheet I've done comparing our notes

I've been aiming at 80 being my midpoint for 'the average rating of the best 22 players' for each team across the board. Obviously someone like Hawthorn might check in at 84 while Melbourne might scramble to 76. This should be enough of a difference to cause noticeable performance differences.
Currently my score for Essendon is 81.3 while yours is 79.0 - which really means you've done just as good a job as I with these ratings despite not even knowing what you were aiming for. I'd probably want Essendon at 80.8 or something so I'll need to lower Fletcher to 83 and Winders to 73 to get there for mine. Then I'll scale yours up slightly to get it to achieve the 'magic number' and then rate players with discrepancies based on half your/half my ratings.
It's much appreciated what you've done; they're exactly what I'm after and I massive help so thanks, a bunch. If you want to do any more, you're welcome to but don't feel obliged! If you do, just continue doing it the way you're doing as they're a massive help to me![]()
Great stuff by not having played the game i went by the collingwood example and I thought peak was the above average in a game not overall so Ill adjust for the next team
Ill just keep working through the teams and post them when I get each one done. Ill start at Adl then Bris and so on !
Great work mate. Hopfully this gets finished.![]()
