I've managed to find the error I had regarding contracts - I hadn't set rookie salaries to 0. That's fixed.

I still can't get fantasy redraft working though, error 70. I reckon it's something to do with total player numbers - 730 might be too many and i'd have to chop it down to 707 or something? I'll test it, at least.

I believe you can still draft even if you have 730 players, It worked with the 2012 lists.

Try these instructions, hopefully it works.

Instructions:

If you need to download the game again just use this link (Uploaded by Ad): http://www.divshare.com/download/14672512-6a2

Latest Patch: http://www.divshare.com/download/14908395-92

1.Do this step on the computer that had the game installed on previously.
First thing you will need to do is find your Mac Address. Go here http://www.wikihow.com/Find-the-MAC-Address-of-Your-Computer and follow Windows Method

The next Instructions is all to be done on the computer you want it working on (Can be that same computer)

2. Once you have found the Mac Address, Download the game go into the game folder then into the config folder and open up config.xml.
3.Between the <user></user> place your email that you used to activate the game with. Between the <pass></pass> put your activation code, and then between the <Address></Address> or <Mac></Mac>, , place the Mac Address you found (If there are dashes in between each two characters of the value, take these out)
4. Go to Control Panel, then under Network and Internet, click View network status and tasks. Then on the side bar click Change Adapter Settings, and then find the network connection that you are using, if your computer is connected to a wired connection it should be called something like Local Area Connection, if your computer is connected to the internet wirelessly, then it should be named something else.
5.Click your connection (if your not connected wirelessly, the network is usually called Local Area Connection, but if your connected wirelessly its something else), and then click on Properties, then click on Configure under that little box, Then the advanced tab, then under that box, find Locally Administered Address (It could be called something else like Network Address or Mac Address just keep looking), and in the box that says Value: enter the Mac Address number you found earlier.
6.Run the game, and hopefully it should work.

This is footy fanatic. Not premiership coach.

Wow the first sentence was all I wanted to post, Was supposed to put the other stuff in a pm, but I realised I posted it in the wrong area. Had two tabs open.
Please delete your post so no one else sees those instructions.

Are you at all tech savvy uncustom?

If so, do you reckon I'd be able to send over my work when I'm done to see if you could look for something I've missed so that the redraft might work?

strangest thing

Noticed Sandi wasn't getting many taps during testing.

Sandi v Jamar (standardised in minutes obv.)
16 v 35 taps per 80 mins 1200 min sample

Griff v Jamar
15 v 37 sample the same

switched sandi to melbourne
Griff v Sandi
12 v 44 sample the same

switched sandi to freo and griff to melb
Sandi v Griff
17 v 36 sample the same

switched sandi to melb jamar to freo
Jamar v Sandi
15 v 35 sample the same

incredible stuff. tried it round with different teams and it seems as if any ruckman at fremantle fails at hitouts. I don't understand.

Just realised that every time the lower hitout score was not only fremantle but the 'home team'

Potentially that instead of fremantle

testing so far indicates so. baffling. the team on the left always gets less hitouts than the 'right' away team. don't get that at all.

Wonder if is just a programing bug to make it more even between the home and away team ?

Kind of did this for my own amusement but figured it wouldn't do any harm posting it. Cheers

Is rhe overall the only thing that matters in FF or do the individual stats matter? (EG someone has 99 kicking and a 90 overall, someone else has 80 kicking 90 overall, will they play the same or will one hit more targets than the other?)

Overall doesn't really matter much, If you edit players overall and not their other stats, you find they don't do much better, but then if you change the other stats, and keep the overall the same, then you will find that their overall has changed ingame and they do much better. If you went into the database and edited someone stats so their overall is 70 along with all their other stats, you will find that their overall is actaully around 90 ingame.

Yeah, plus, the overall is really a generic sum of all stats in FF - individual roles don't have specific needs for a high overall - if I raise Jake Neade's hitout from 30 to 60 his overall will rise from say, 70 to 74. They don't mean much as they're not role specific.

great idea, 2010 lists is the latest download i had found for this game, is there a link to download any later lists at all?

Well that's what they are working on with this thread. I think there were 2011 lists but they were flawed in a way and kept crashing the game.

The ones I uploaded were flawed, I did have the working ones with gold coast removed, however it had some old 2010 players that had either changed teams or had retired/delisted. I don't know where they are actually because I've got like 30+ different lists that are jumbled up.
I've recently begun to play FFFX again, maybe I will fix them up later on.

Lol if this team was to ever make the field they'd win by 200 points every week, the stars of the team are about right, but Seedsman 81? Frost 82? Toovey 88? Jolly 86? Fasolo 84? I could easily name another 15 more but you get the point...

Krakouer 87?!?!?

There's really not much you all can help me with now - I'm adding each player to the database individually which I've got to say is the most dense and boring task I've ever done. I thought scraping the personal details was bad, nup.

I've struggled for motivation and had work get in the way, but rest assured I'll get it done, apologies if I'm keeping y'all waiting but I guess something's better than nothing :3

Skip.

I've currently got 10/16 teams done. I'll release it without GC/GWS for some of you blokes to test it for me (if you'd like) and add them in to the full version (don't get your hopes up, it'll be a 'edit it yourself to custom pick your 16 teams thing) while the error checking is being done.

There's another bloke I know who's helping me with the final 6 teams and I'm pretty sure he's done three-four or so. I'll be able to standardise what he's done (so they're consistent with the teams I've done) really quickly so I'm *hoping* it gets done soon.

I do apologise again for the hold up. I got burnt out by this about a month ago so it's been a long slog to push through. It's seriously the most dull work but it's worth it, I'd hope.

Thanks for the update, it certainly isn't an easy job.
