For those not on the e-mail updates list..

Following on from my last post a couple of months ago it has now been
decided to delay the new version of Footy Fanatic until the start of
next season. With only a few weeks left in this season it was decided
that it would be best to just focus on getting it ready for 2005 and add
in even more features, rather than rush something out right at the end
of the season.

I know a lot of you will be curious to know exactly what will be in the
new version but I will be revealing more information closer to the
release date.

Thanks for your patience, obviously ideally I would of liked to release
something for all of you this year but I hope you can hang in there as
I'm sure you will find the wait well worth it when the game is finally
released. Until then, with many thanks to Richard Williamson I have
posted a 2004 update which he has created that you can check out in the
Updates/Files section. I know there is a strong Footy Fanatic community
out there, so feel free to take this new list and make changes yourself.
I'm happy to post any improved lists on the site while I'm working on
the new version.

Disappointing, but fair enough.
 
With all this extra time i think he should create a 'Create a League and Team' option. He has a far bit of time to work on this and i'm sure everybody would love this feature. You could create your current local league with teams or make the VFL or even a fantasy league.

Hell ... i'd pay for the game if that was included.

Is that the same 2004 list that was posted on bigfooty a while back?
 
I deleted that data update in under a minute - long enough to see O'Keefe had overall ability of about 30 and Kirk was similarly bad.

The thing is, if the errors I came across with a quick glance at one team are so glaring, I'd have to go through every player to make sure they're right. If I wanted to do that, I'd make my own update...
 
and some of the prices on the updated lists are just crazy, mark mercuri is getting 600000$$ while i think it was Jason Johnson or Damien Peverill who was only worth 30000$$. plus i wouldnt mind being able to have a fantasy draft

I've actually went through and edited each player, salaries and all, so that playing as all teams is pretty realistic. If someone can let me know how to make this available I'd me more than happy to share it. .

Hi Soapy,

Just zip the seasonStats.mdb file up and send it to me (along with any readme file that might be required) to footy_fanatic_pc@hotmail.com. If you zip it up it shouldn't be more than 100KB. I can take a look at it and post it on my website if you want.
