Hi BigFooty people. It's a day later than usual, but there IS now a new podcast episode up. This week, we talk plenty of footy, some Test cricket, ponder weekend getaways, tailgaters, and buffet etiquette among other things, and revisit the year of 1980 in music, movies and TV. Hope you like it!

Cheers,
Rohan

I think I like “summer edition” better than the round review pod
Except who gives a s**t about old TV shows (inaccessible), they should just reminisce on movies and music only

Another good quality podcast. Agree with Rohan about Skynews. Its tragically comical. Watch Outsiders on sunday mornings for a good laugh/cringe in equal measures.

Cannot agree with the movie choices though. Blues Brothers far superior movie to Caddyshack/Flying High.

Loving the summer edition lads, great job. Had a good think about the conversation surrounding your favorite sports moment.

Rohan, you mentioned the Aguero goal and the Manchester City title win as the best moment in sport and I still get goosebumps thinking about it. To score two goals in stoppage time, at home, to end a 40 odd year drought and beat Man U, the most bitter of rivals is beyond imagination. And to have Martin Tyler call the last goal, it's just orgasmic. Pure emotion. To hear him call a Daniher grand final sealer I could only dream. Probably more likely he'd call AFL before that happens! Amazing

But then Leicester City, $5001/1 win the title. If you compare that to the wooden spoon favorite at the start of the year, it doesn't compare. It's just unimaginable. Imagine being a Leicester fan. In a league where money talks it's an amazing achievement.

All I've got to say is I'm torn on the two as my greatest sporting moment. 2000 grand final a distant third.

But it's a fantastic conversation, best sporting moments. I'd love to hear other listeners favorite moments, and possibly something you could add to the segment tv/music/movies. Best sporting moment of that year! Good, bad or indifferent.

Anyway, that's my drunken 2 cents haha. Great work boys. Look forward to the next installment and eventually trying one of those bloody hamburgers!!!!

Holy S*it GC! From the clouds! Love it, and can't believe I've never heard of this, being a sports nut. Lloydy!

ive always been taken with team sports over individual....ive never set the alarm and broken sleep to watch anything in my whole life & im 52
but i went against my habits & routines to watch all of the Australian matches of world cup 2006,it was exciting stuff & i dont really care about soccer but that tournament was brilliant, the Italian goalkeeper to deny Zidane that header was unbelieavable...the world cups are by far the best tournament sports to watch for pure excitement

Yep, absolutely agree on the significance of Leicester City win but I would class that as "story" rather than moment, as, if you remember, they actually officially sealed the title when Spurs were beaten by Chelsea. It's a great discussion though, isn't it? Maybe in New Year we could do it regularly and take listeners' views. Thanks for the kind words, too, much appreciated.

Yep your bang on. Moment v story. Can't argue with that. Merry Christmas all and happy New year!

Think he said he invented some sort of casino game.
if thats true then good on him, im very curious to know which game/games as i have over 20yrs experience in table games in various casinos including Melbourne..hmm ive seen a lot of new games come and go...the few that have been successful in the modern era have been Pontoon,Black Jack 22,Rapid Roulette(the most successful by far along with half price on banker 6 on Baccarat) & then your side bets such as pairs, jackpots etc on card games, the roulette side bet inventions always failed, anyway if true its virtually a licence to print money if your idea is successful...

A bit of research (his LinkedIn) says he invented dicetrack, a probability racing game.
