I saw some concerning signs on the weekend that could be replicated if we're not alert to it faster than we were on Saturday:

1. Why oh why were we kicking the ball to Nick Davis like he was Tony Modra? Nick does not have a verticle leap. His only chance is to take a mark on the lead and to a lesser extent a contested one hander if he's lucky. Must have been 4 times we kicked over his head or on his head and was spoilt. KICK IT TO SPACE NICK CAN RUN INTO!

2. Barry was double and triple teamed severly and again, we kept going to the hottest spot on the MCG all day. Richmond backmen were loving it. It's an easy replicatable formula. I think the onus was on us to have Barry further up the ground or even rucking around the ground to break the shackles from time to time.

3. What these measures did do was force our midfielders to kick goals, something they haven't done much of this year. Fossie had his best game for the club (3 goals), Crouchy (1 goal, why couldn't it have been 2), Willo (1 goal) and even Goodesy may have kicked one from the midfield, so more than 50% from the midfield. Normally you'd love that stat, but I just think we didn't adjust to the pressure from the backs well enough.
