According to the tweets he is still laying motionless on the ground half hour later..

..never thought I would hope for only a broken leg for anyone..

..this is not sounding good.

How do we find out more?

Motionless after half and hour makes me wonder and worry......if only a broken leg, you'd think he'd be writhing in agony or at least moving around, an arm or something......and then take nearly an hour to even move him.

Could some of you guys with twitter, please send out our love to Aaron, even if through that Newlinds person?

I feel helpless, but want him to know we are thinking of him....but I can't do anything about it:(

Might have been given the "green stick pain killer" and had a reaction to it....

Yow yeh broke his ankle on the joint, couldn't pivot on it properly again. Had a bloke snap his femur playing soccer, I crashed into him playing keeper, he landed on me and I had to stay there for 30 or so minutes while they could move him. Back playing again but was out for about 2 years

There is some video footage on the courier mail website. I don't even want to link to it because it is the most graphic piece of football footage that I've seen. Stomach churning.

The report is a dislocated knee. In some respects, it may be better news than a badly broken leg. Maybe.

Just went and had a look there - definitely something you choose to watch not have thrust upon you - don't even want to think about what it must have felt like.

Thoughts and prayers with Acorn...

It's incredibly high if it's a break, I only watched it once coz the shock of realising wht happens when he moves it was quite overwhelming.

Poor Ace. Can't catch a break this guy. (No pun intended). Hope he gets back to playing footy sooner or later.

How calm did he look when he pulled his leg around! Poor fella there has to be some serious damage internally from that . I hope he had not taken his last screamer ever. Hang in there ace.

Geez. That's a motorbike injury.

SPOILER ALERT- Discussion about serious injury.

If it's a true dislocated knee, we're talking both cruciates gone and at least either MCL or LCL. But even more serious is potential nerve and vascular damage. Not uncommon for people to suffer from foot drop, and at worst, loss of limb if the vascular damage is extensive enough.

It's one of the few 'sporting' injuries that is a medical emergency.
