'If opportunities don’t present themselves to Macaffer in the midfield, a return to the forward line beckons.“I’ve had a few brief chats with a few coaches, and even a few senior players about where they see me fitting into the side,” he said. “Over the offseason and preseason I’ve looked at expanding my role and going back forward to where I originally started out. “It’s looking like a forward/mid role, which is something I’m excited about.”

'Collingwood star Dane Swan will spend more time up forward in 2016, coach Nathan Buckley says.
Swan remains one of the Magpies' best clearance players through the midfield, but Buckley said the club needed to have an eye on the future and provide greater opportunities for youngsters such as Taylor Adams, Jordan De Goey, Adam Treloar and James Aish to come in and prosper.
"The fact is the Collingwood midfield in two or three years probably won't have Dane Swan in it," Buckley told AFL Media.

], that's still ten players to choose from - plus others, Cox, for example, that may add to the competition at some point.
