Forward line structure was the problem

We had talls who didn't want to take a mark inside 50.

We didn't play any dedicated small forwards or crumbers with that certain "x-factor."

Sadly we couldn't do much about the latter with both Medders and Leon out injured, two players who are not easily replaceable by a long stretch.

If you remember back to the Brisbane game last year which was pretty reminiscent of the game this year - we won that game because Medhurst bobbed up and kicked 3 goals towards the end of the game.

Our defensive pressure in the forward line without our small forwards is pretty much non-existant.

When we get these players back and they are fit and firing, we are a MUCH better side as shown during the earlier rounds of the season.

We had talls who did not play deep inside F50 which is why we kept breaking down across HF and we tried to run and handball the footy alot which is very un-Collingwood like.
