After watching the last 2 games at TD, what a contrast.

St Kilda & Geelong,
You would have had to pay me to watch this game...wait, they did, but im demanding double time. What a dud of a game. The Saints couldnt, wouldnt kick a goal, no forward structure, just bomb it in and hope for the best. Wrong. Good bye Coach.

Then the contrast.

Swans v Richmond.
(Apart from the mark of the day by Pettifer (Spg?), hang time was incredible) the interest was the Swans forward set up which was quite interesting.

No Flanks, No Pockets at the centre bounce. The Americans would describe as an "I" formation - all players in line to goal square to centre square.

and straight down the corridor when they get the ball or just to left or right of centre, which ever way the player peels off.

Swans D was dictated by Richmond forwards but looked like a T formation. Across the line to centre square then down the middle.. Interesting I didnt see the obligatory player dropped back to make a 7 man Swan D.

Great to see so many goals scored. Admittably poor old Richmonds D wasnt up to the task but still the Swans did it beautifully.

thats bloody garbage....

Question.

Do we kick it on top of Willos head (where his always larger opponent can punch it away) instead of out in front of him (where his superior pace would ensure him an advantage) because:

A) We're stupid.

or

B) We're just not that skillful.

mate we need some taller players to release some of the presure that is being put on our midfiled. I would put the young but very strong and tall max bailey as well as the barker, franklin and tailor we just need more height and strength in this side.

Our chf boyle should of been in the goalsquare.willo would of been better crumbing goals tonight.they kick it from 80mt to 30mt with mal getting the punch.the chf was not used. boyle had a shocker anyway.I don`t think he is the answer.

We're not that skillful. But the good news is most other teams aren't that skillful either. The skill levels of the average AFL player is appauling, and I'm tired of hearing otherwise from the media.

Bring in Franklin this week and Barker, I don't care if he's just coming back from injury. And hopefully Osborne will be ready too and Jacobs.

Possible ins - Ozzie, Crawf, Jacobs, Buddy, Barker - they are pretty good ins.

barker wont came back in this week.

i hate making and reading speculative teams or set ups, but it got the better of me, and i would love to see this forward six in at least one game this year.

franklin....barker....brown
williams....dowler....little
