Worst beer ever and I grew up with Southwark Bitter and West End Export.

I recall this particular drop being putrid

My old man was a fosters light kinda guy as he stated getting to old for the original southwark till this came out. He bought cartons and cartons of the shit. It was aptly named 'special bitter' because it was a special kind of bitter, they just left the word putrid out..

Low alcoholic beer is bad enough but me and a mate drank non alcoholic beer in the States once. We were at this little up market outdoor bar in Washington DC and it had this plastic thing on the table promoting this beer which looked alright but we didn't notice the fine print that it was non alcoholic.

This hot little waitress trots over to take our order and we said we'll just get a couple of those, pointing to the plastic thing on the table. She brought them over and they didn't taste too bad but there was something NQR about them because we weren't getting the usual buzz you get from drinking beer and that's when we twigged we were drinking non alcoholic beer. So we waved the waitress back over and she apologised and got us some full strength stuff, silly cow could have told us they were non alcoholic when we ordered them. I mean why the hell would anyone drink non alcoholic beer? Madness.

This stuff was good.

Yes, that is the alcohol strength printed on the front. It actually tasted worse than you could imagine. I never drank enough to suffer side-effects.
