Fox replays of 2007

I have been watching the replays of the season on fox of late.
Man with all the excitement of the off season I had forgotten how poorly we played in many games.
The stand out things I have noticed (and yes I know there have been a million threads on such things) was how disfunctional our back line was, how some players ie Lance had seen better days and how physically deficient many players were.
I must say J Waite looked great up forward in several games.Big strong marks, good leads, good kicking.I know the back line is struggling but good delivery from the midfield to Fev and Waite would get me excited!
It looks like Ratts has got them working hard in the gym and on their skills so I am certainly looking forward to the year!
I just thought I would let those know who were not aware of it that Fox is showing the games on for those who do not sleep or have IQ

They have been doing it for about 2 weeks now, each night they show 3 games from a particular round.

So far the only Carlton games that have made it have been the Fremantle game and the Sydney game -very inumpressed

Yep, just flew into melbourne and watched on last night....first game of footy on the telly for a while...

Watchwed the melbourne game, Waite was sensational, Eddie, Harltlett was spraying them , Walker was unbelievable, constantly extracting it and firing it in, Gibbs was playing like hird....no kidding.


Boys will go mental this year,.....Richmond are going to look like tools on BF come round one.

Interesting how alot of our great games recently have been against Essendon

Early '01 (IIRC) when we had SOS, Ratts and Bradley missing
Rd 3 '07 coming back from an 8 goal margin.

Lol......the only game I have left is the Dons game......I watch it while I'm running on the treadmill.........I really must record some more games next season........as good as that game was it is getting on my nerves a little.

I'm a little bit sadder than you i have them all recorded on my iq! In fact i still have about 8 years of recorded tapes i go back to!
Agree that we look poor for 3 qrts of matches but the one thing i keep going back to is that we had six 8 goal plus qtrs this year, three were against Port. An 8 goal and a 9 goal qtr in the one game!!
when were hot we look as good as any team, but when were bad.....enough said!

If we can use players like Judd, Stevens and hadley for those other qtrs next year should see us not drop off as much every week!

Incorrect, early in the peace, I watched the Carlton V Richmond game rnd 1
It followed the Collingwood V Brisbane game one night.....(I think it was)
I stayed up until 2am to watch it & it finished at 4am.... then got up at 6am to go to work hmmmmmmmmm

Foxtel shits me with it's football coverage, it's just sooker all week..I honestly see them playing replays of the weekends games 2 days a week during prime-time do the people who run foxtel run australian soccer as well it wouldn't surprise me

Yeah but I am a Celtics fan from way back so am hoping like Carlton that this year is rosey!I remember watching Bird V Magic back in the '80's on the ABC late at night.That coverage was bad but they are some of my fondest memories!

Ah yes.. Well I can't see the celtics having a problem with the big 3 they have.. I'm a suns fan so hopefully our big 3 (nash, matrix and STAT) can carry us to at least a finals appearence where we will more than likely get rolled by Boston... Been enjoying the off-season of football with some classic b-ball games.. Clyde the glyde.. the mailman, mark price, scottie pippen, john stockton tim hardaway.. Classic gotta love 90's ball

I can't think of anything that has improved in this decade (technology, research aside) Ball, Footy, Music, Movies/Tv.. Everything in the 90's destroyed the 00's

Aware of that...but had the talent to burn...but was cut loose by Karl...

Just saying being able to watch him play when i was a teenager was awesome....was never going to be a player like Bird etc, they played in an era that will never be seen again...similar to the Carlton of the 70's

I watched the same game last night -Simpson was amazing too -some amazing highlights from a lot of our players. Hoops also played an amazing game and it was probably one of Kouta's best performances of 2007!

Shame about the result.

I must be the saddest of all -between 250GB IQ hard drive and another 250GB hard drive built into the HDTV set top box, I had all our games recorded. About a week after the season was over the hard drive in my IQ box fried and about a week ago the hard drive in the HDTV box did the same.

Now all I have left is the Doggies game on a video (and now the Melbourne game back on the new IQ box).
