FOXTEL Packages

I'm looking to become a Foxtel subscriber next year, but don't want to end up with a whole bunch of programs that i never watch. The main reason i want it is to see more AFL, and international sporting events. Is EPL football on Fox? and what about Serie-A?

Does anyone know what a basic package costs, with additional sporting channels, and perhaps an Entertainment package also.

About $50 for basic + sports.

Just go to the foxtel website, they should have a thing where you configure a package and see what price it is.

Ive got basic + sports. Thats all you need really, theres about a movie once a month that I wanna watch. Only channel that I wish I had was comedy, but I think its in some joke of a package with crap chanels so i passed.

the package we have got has all the fox sports plus, espn, discovery channels, animal planet, trash channels like arena and fox 8 UKTV and all the music channels, about the only thing we haven't got is the movies and it is about $75 per month - one of the best things about having it in Qld is that we get LIVE afl on Main event when free to air and fox sports aren't showing it.

Thats the same package I have started with Plantum package but hardly ever watched any of the movies.
After spending the last 4 weeks without after moving house and having to wait for reconnection I now realise how much crap their is on free to air

yeah we had platinum for the first month or so, free upgrade for new subscribers and didn't watch the movies either so dropped them. I would rather get the dvd and get proper digital surround sound etc.

I never used to want to get foxtel, a)wasn't going to be forced over a barrel to watch footy and b) didn't think I would watch the rest of the channels, now there is very very little FTA that we watch

Premier League (we're now getting up to nine games a week with viewers choice) and A-League are on FoxSports while Serie A and La Liga are on ESPN along with the Champions League and FA Cup. Setanta is coming soon too so we'll have Bundesliga, SPL and UEFA Cup on top of that.

In my house we've got platinum because dad and I watch a fair bit of the History Channel and Comedy Channel. It's well worth getting it even if you only get the basic packages + sport.
