We're pretty much at the halfway point of the season and with that comes the All Australian debate for the year.
Read through afl.com.au's article: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-06-21/the-all-australian-midyear-team and currently has three players from Freo in the ream: Nat Fyfe, Aaron Sandilands and Lachie Neale.
Interesting given we're at 10-1 that maybe perhaps Freo should have one or two in the starting 22 rather then on the interchange. There could be arguments given to perhaps Lee Spur, McPharlin getting a spot in the backline.
Nat Fyfe: Hard to see him not getting selected and will continue to be the front runner in all media awards, Coach Awards and of course Brownlow favourite. Lock.
Aaron Sandilands: This one is interesting given what constitutes a ruck man these days? Is it number of taps, marks or disposals? At the moment Sandi should be 1st/2nd Ruckman with fierece competition from Goldstein (who Sandi dominated) as well as Jacobs, NicNat.
Lachie Neale: perhaps a bolter to the team but is a regular ball magnet and has been consistent with Fyfe each week. Alot of the same types such as Parker, Hanneberry could be ahead of him (in terms of 'big game player' or well known).
Lee Spurr: Definitely been in good form, kept many small forwards quiet and/or goalless. The team wins with him in. Underrated.
Luke McPharlin: Pretty much back to his consistent best. Did a sterling job on Buddy, Kennedy as well as J.Riewoldt.
Worth a mention: C. Pearce (leading club in marks) , Mundy, Ibbotson.
