Further delisting???

Given the quality still available in the likes of Panos/Hartigan/Tehmel etc etc, should/could we delist one more in order to make space for an extra pick? GC will pick the eyes out of the rookie draft so the best will be gone before our pick.

All 16 clubs have decided these guys were not worth taking, hardly worth a spot on the main list....how many can we take even at this point without doing anymore delisting...5? We can still get quite a few rookies that fit into this...'maybe they will/more likely they won't' category.

Watching Temel highlights though this morning, and was surprised no one took him. Great contested mark...must be his fitness/attitude??

i would like Panos in the PSD and Temel in the Rookie then no more forwards after that. We have now, Riewoldt, Griffiths, Morton, Gourdis, Austbry if we can get Panos and Temel that should be good enough to find at least 3-4 good forwards for the future. Would also like Hartigan if we can get him as a key backman maybe pushing it a bit though.

I agree Panos in the PSD would be ideal and hopefully snare Joe Dare in the Rookie.

Also will say that im confident that our rookie list will consist of a few of the players who trained with us leading up to the draft, A good mate of mine Ryan Allan who played at coburg this year and trained with the Tiges the last few weeks has been given good feed back from the club and also that bloke from southport, Justin something!
So with GC getting the first 5 picks in the rookie draft id be hoping for something like this:
Psd: Panos
Rookie #1 - Dare/Hartigan/Temel
Rookie #2 - Justin ? (southport guy)
Rookie #3 - Ryan Allan (coburg)
Rookie #4 - Dunno probably the Irish guy

Again Danog.....as much as McMuffin frustrates us, these kids that ALL have been overlooked...as in not one club thought they were worth putting on their main lists, are speculative and all deserve a go, but any of the top 5 are just as likely to play 100+ games as the next 50. Relax!

yeah im with you ruanaidh, id much rather give some new blokes a go even if they were overlooked. good players are always overlooked in the ND.

id be looking at dare/panos in the PSD, TK, free/hooper, hartigan/tighe and polak(not my preference but we will pick him) in the rookie

So what do you know that the RFC recruitment team doesn't, to make that statement? In regards to Panos not just the Richmond recruitment team, but that of the other 15 clubs who all saw fit to bypass him in the draft?

i may be wrong but i read that GC plan on taking most if not all mature age players with the rookie picks in order for them to be at least competitive in the vfl this year.

Why we still have Simmonds on the list is also beyond me? Polly and Graham could Take the lions share whilst Vicks and Browne continue to develop. An additional pick would allow us to grab Hannath, who is a very promising Ruck in the PSD. FFS we won't be anywhere near the finals for several years, so why hang on to Simmonds and McMahon!

My plan would be to approach Simmo and ask him to agree to become a 'Mature Rookie' ala Polly. He could still be at the club, play as many games as we need him to....but free up a spot for another youngster. C'mon Richmond get it done.

For every Robin Nahas, who is overlooked and eventually rookie listed, there are a dozen or more Jamason Daniel, Bryce Carroll, Tom German, David Gourdis, Jarryd Blair and Trevor Gilchrist, who amount to nothing!!!
