Been a dees member for like 6 years so i just thought i would say our future does not like good.
Besides the guns of the furture Mclean Sylvia Dunn Frawley davey we are lacking the key position players.
Brad Miller i love this guy he trys his guts out every week. With alot of players avoiding him and just bombing into the 50 he still leads up every play. I believe that he is our CHB. Carol is a one season wonder for sure the way this guy plays is a joke he gets pushed around like a doll these big forwards kill him. Punch the ball Nathan please!!!!!!!!! Dont try and mark everything!!!! I think Paul Johnson should be given a go which he finally is now. Jamar is no good. With Neitz Yze White Robbo Byron to retire within the next few years our window has indeed shut.

When Neil Craig took over Adelaide Rutten, Bock, Stevens and Perry where all thought of as not to good, now look at them, we have to keep going with Dunn, Ferg, Miller and Garland looks good so far. As for Carroll I'm sure he'll bounce back soon, he's having a crack and if its not easy been full back with the delivery the opposition have been getting.

Miller will come good, he has great hands and will only improve, we're not patient enough with him but when you see the likes of Pavlich, Riewodlt, Brown etc. for other clubs, you just want Miller to take the next step.

Ferguson is a worry IMO, either needs to be a Fletcher type or start living in the gym so he doesnt get bumped off the ball so easily.

We do need to recruit tall though this year, we have enough smalls.

Yeah our midfield depth has been great this year *rolls eyes* We have a fair few talls but none of real quality besides Neitz and Rivers. Carroll and Miller are decent. White is aging and ineffectual these days.

We lost McLean and the whole thing fell apart. I hope someone like Weetra can be a surprise gem of the draft.

Our midfield is poor this year, our defence lacks height and our forward line is non-existent and has no depth whatsoever.

Add to that the lack of pace through the midfield and the shocking disposal of most of our current 22 and we dont have much to be happy about.

At least we have our aggresion to fall back on, oh wait...

We've lost that too.

I reckon we've still got a great batch of young tough mids who, once they hit their straps, will be a force to contend with.
McLean, Moloney, Sylvia, Jones, Bartram, CJ, Davey...all look likely to be 200 game players (bit injury prone though). PJ and Jamar are still learning the trade.
Our backline can only get better, with Rivers, Bell, Frawley, etc.
And I thought Miller and Dunn performed alright against Freo, Bate gets a lot of the ball and once he works on his disposal will be okay.
Throw in the rest like PJ, Newton, Buckley, Petterd - a few unknown quantities. Its not all doom and gloom.

I am still confident we have a good group of young players. A couple of early losses with an injury-riddled (and out of form senior players) team doesn't change that one bit.

Under 24 - Rivers, Miller, Davey, Moloney, Jones, Bartram, Bell, McLean, Sylvia, Bate, Petterd and Frawley.
That would be a very good core group of players in the next 3 years. The thing is we need a big young ruck, and two big KPP's, one for either end of the ground.
The foundations are there in the midfield, we just need the talls.

Agree with all other posts that we need to draft talls.To be specific IMO we need to draft a power forward ot two as an "understudy" for when Nieta retires.

I can't see any of the current lot filling Neita's spot in the future!
