You should know too (if you wanted to stay up for it) that it won't be streamed like the EA Conference was.

Disappointingly the only place to get up to date info will be IGN who are doing a live blog.

Have to say too, on EA's Press Conference. They know how to do it, don't they?

Stuff going through sales data and statistics, stuff gloating about how good your company is going. Just get right into the things people want to see THE GAMES!

They might not have had an overly special run through during this press conference but it's far easier to watch than some other conferences that bang on about random shit. Although I will say the guy who led this conference was terrible, had nothing going for him at all.

  • Sims 3 looks ok, tons of customisables.
  • Sims Medieval looks bleh, would rather play something like the title later in the Conference (Dragon Age).
  • NFS Hot Pursuit looks super fast and high action.
  • Dead Space 2 is pure win.
  • Dragon Age 2 looks really good (despite it being just a CGI trailer).
  • FIFA 11 looks sweet.
  • EA Sports Active 2 is full of yawn.
  • Crysis 2 is very much a no go zone for me right now, those guns were terrible sounding, the MP looked fun enough but the entire thing was scripted to a tee if you ask me (might only get the game for the awesomeness of New York re-created).
  • Bulletstorm as I said is either going to be so zany it works or just so zany it grates on your until you can't stand it.
  • Mass Effect 2 announcement was great news.
  • Star Wars Old Republic didn't get much of a showing.

Anything else I'm missing?
 
I cant wait for Old Republic. Been hanging out for a decent MMO for a while now. Most start off well but the masses seem to return to WOW. Hopefully this is different, helps having Star Wars as the basis.

Oh yeah HAHAHA my god that was terrible. Lag up the arse, literally the hand movement would go, then a full second (at least) later the action would work on screen. No wonder I forgot about it.

And to get the Weasley twins in...:o:o:o They must be hard up for a buck?

Gameplay without Kinect would probably be ok I guess? I dunno, it's a Harry Potter title, there's 1 that's good and that's the Lego one.

I read that we are going to hear at least 1 massive software anouncement from Sony.
Any ideas?

lol, I think that happened a few times. Certainly wasn't a ringing endorsement for either Kinect or the Harry Potter game in itself.

Hmmm....there's a ton of titles out there to potentially name. And since we know it won't be Resistance 3 (although still could be announced as that previous date was more about showing it off than announcing it).

I guess I'd have to go with Resistance 3 still...:o It's probably just the game I'm most hopeful for really.

It'd be nice to get this thing underway already. I know EA had a fair 15-20 minute delay to the start of theirs, but you announce a time and you expect people to stick to it.

LBP2 beta isn't really 'massive'. It's known and was even announced by the dev a couple of days ago.

What do you mean by Insomniac's next horror title? Are you talking new IP or Resistance 3?

VT4 would be awesome on the Move (even though I'd rather Top Spin 4), it'd be a good mix of arcade to use the Move with.
 
I guess I'll be taking the reigns then. I wish I could do my own epic E3-like live blog from an actual video stream (if you do somehow manage to find one, post it here ASAP), but I'll just be chucking up the more important announcements as they come.

  • 2 new console SKU's will be available. A 320GB model (to get Move bundle) and a 160GB model.
  • Gran Turismo 5 OFFICIALLY dated for EU November 3, 2010.
  • New inFAMOUS 2 trailer. Showing off the more swampy setting, new Cole revealed.
  • 'Mike' from Linkin Park is out to play a mission from Medal of Honor...and the most random press conference appearance award goes to that guy...says the game is "tight"...oh 90's lingo how I missed thee.
  • MAG is set to get Move compatibility.
  • Virtua Tennis 4 confirmed for Move and 3D compatibility will be out in 2011.
  • Killzone 3 Multiplayer to be shown now. Mech suits, jetpacks and a more open XP system introduced (ie Points for headshots).
  • Motorstorm Apocalypse now, really pushing the 3D thing, saying it will have the "biggest impact" on the racing genre.
  • Ted Price from Insomniac now...here it comes Resistance or Ratchet? Saying that after Resistance 2 they decided to extend their development time for games.
  • It's a new Ratchet and Clank! For the first time ever, there will be co-op. 4 player co-op at that (now we know why the framerate was lowered from 60fps). To be called Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One.
  • Sadness continues as Ratchet and Clank is continued to be demoed...but wait...what's this...?!!
  • OMG IT IS! RESISTANCE 3 IS COMING IN 2011! INSOMNIAC ARE RELEASING 2 TITLES IN 2011!!!

Anyway, seems to be some really serious tech issues at the moment. Blogs are down, people aren't getting proper reception. Hopefully this thing starts soon enough!
 
Sony's Blog is back up and running. Looks like we'll be getting under way VERY soon.
