WCE have said they will be very aggresive in the next trade period, and that they will be after experience with us having a lot of yougnster and our veterans gone and some going this year.
I really hope we don't get Darren Gasper, he is way over paid and has dodgy knees, this is not what we need. If we are going to recruit experience please can we try for a forward.
I would say Wirra could be on his way back to Vic unless he lifts his game. Morrison is another (not sure if he would be wanted).

Thoughts?

Gaspar would be worth a punt at a lower price. The question is whether Richmond will be willing to pay his salary. Doesn't really bother me one way or another if we get him.

Wirra is having his first poor year and everyone wants to ship him off. How about club loyalty? He has been a great servant for us for a number of years... Morrison is a different case, he has been playing crap for a number of years now. He has 12 games to retify his career at the WCE.

Yes Wirra has been a good player for us, but if we are serious about trading, we have to realise to get something worthwhile you have to get rid of someone that other clubs will want.

No way would we trade Wirra for Gaspar, too high a price. not that i would even think about trading Wirra, eagle for life imo.

Morrison for Gaspar would be about all i'ld go and either a lower draft pick or one of the other young vic boys on the outer.

Both were good players before doing knees. Anything more than that and i think we'ld be taken for a ride. Gaspar's nearly 30 with a bad knee and would have to travel every second week. Obviously not a long term prospect, but may be good to help the young kids down back while they're getting their experience up.

I dont think Darren Gaspar would be worth the trouble. Unless we get him extremely cheap. He is approaching 30, has dodgy knees and would have to travel every second week. Just not sure how much we would get out of him?

But at the right price I would take him.

No doubt wirra's been a good player but we have to think whether he's past his best and whether we could get an emerging player for him (don't know who off hand). Wirra for gaspar doesn't make any sense, i'd rather keep wirra.

What is it with you and your hatred of Wirrpunda?
